Confessions

Confessions was an installation and participatory work by @electrasimon, exploring what happens when something held inside is witnessed by another.

The structure takes the form of a side-by-side confession booth, set within a street-facing gallery, removed from its original context. While framed as a confession, the invitation is open-ended: to share a memory, a story, a feeling, or to sit in silence. An immediate-response monotype drawing was made during each session, which lasts around one hour.

Where do I start? 😶‍🌫️

2025 was a blessing in disguise for me. I realised that I was but a larvae dreaming of flight, and in the pursuit of greatness - I’d inevitably continue to fall, climb, crawl and fall again.

I realised that no matter how hard I tried, through my mortal attempts, I was only going to fly when time and circumstance had truely completed my transformation.

So from a larvae to a butterfly, it’s time to takeoff ✈️🌍

Good news is very welcome ⚽️ Being with friends, celebrating and just hanging out is still the cutest thing ever. It feels different nowadays. Feeling very lucky to be surrounded with so many fun, kind, clever, lush people as we live through this barbaric nightmare. We are better than this.

Thanks pals for making this dark time feel bright. Now let’s make the future feel bright again…!! 🌞

Another peaceful day marching with the best of the best of London! The final count 400-500,000! The mainstream media will likely just describe the crowd as ‘thousands’ to downplay the massive movement this truly is 📣📣📣

Hand in hand and side by side with thousands of kids, families, people of all ages and from all backgrounds, people from the Jewish community and all other faiths and those with no explicit faith. Because remember this isn’t about faith, this is about land, occupation, money and power… and also of course community, unity, justice and freedom.

This kid deserves better for their future and it’s totally possible as long as even more of us stand against the violent oppression against the people of Palestine and everyone across the globe protesting for justice, freedom and peace.

Whatever people may say or however the news may make you feel… it’s not too late to read, watch, listen, protest and get involved - in fact - it’s exactly the right time 🇵🇸📣
