Postcard from the Maldives. ✨🏝

This photo is one of my favourites from our trip to the Maldives. 📸

We actually planned this shot to look exactly how it does. Two days before taking the picture, we went to the beach at noon and saw that the sun was in the perfect position, creating a shadow from the palm trees on the sand. It was also high tide at that time, which added to the beauty of the scene. Without high tide, it would have been impossible to take this shot because the water would have been too far away at low tide.

The island was hit by a storm the day before, so we got to take this picture on our last day and show off the amazing scenery.

Sometimes we take pictures without planning, but for other shots like this, we had to plan carefully, thinking about things like weather, lighting, timing, etc.

I just wanted to give you a little insight into how we created this photo. 😄

Sometimes, it's important to pause and reflect on our journey, reminding ourselves of how much progress we have made.
Every step forward, no matter how small, shows our strength and resilience.

Recently, I returned back to Germany to stay in my hometown and finally reunite with my family and friends. I really enjoyed my time in Germany and this experience made me also look back on the past years and made me realize how much life can change in a short amount of time.
I am filled with gratitude more than ever before for the life I have built, and I am incredibly excited about what the future holds. 🙏🏻
Next week, I am going to leave Germany again. Can you guess where I am going? 😄
