6 YEARS OF THE BLACK HARE. 🖤

Six years ago, we opened our doors here in Conway, Arkansas — right in the middle of a pandemic. Looking back, we’re sure most thought we seemed a little crazy for doing it. 😂 We honestly never imagined The Black Hare would grow into what it is today.

But it did.

And that’s because of all of you.

To everyone who has walked through our doors to get tattooed or pierced, waited in line at a flash event, hung out with us, bought merchandise, stopped by our booth at a convention, shot a music video in the shop, recommended us to a friend, shared our work, gotten a LOTR tattoo dressed up as a troll, supported our artists, or simply cheered us on along the way — THANK YOU.

Every appointment, every event, every conversation, every tattoo, every piercing, and every bit of support has helped make this place what it is.

And a HUGE thank you to the absolutely incredible crew who comes through these doors every day and creates beautiful artwork for our clients. To every artist, piercer, and member of this team — past and present — you have all left your mark on The Black Hare and helped shape it into what it is today.

There have been a lot of long days, late nights, changes, challenges, lessons, laughs, memories, and some pretty incredible moments over these last six years.

We’re incredibly grateful for this journey, for this community, and for the opportunity to keep doing what we love.

Six years down. And we’re just getting started. 🖤

Cheers to many more.

THANK YOU, CONWAY. 🥂

Zachary Carlisle Zine #2

The Arkansas music and art scene will always hold a special place in my heart. The music scene was kind enough to embrace this old scene head from Memphis, Tennessee and welcome him into their home state with open arms. Though I didn’t attend many shows (truthfully only a handful) I found myself becoming a fan of the Arkansas music scene from a distance. Once I started pursuing digital art as a creative hobby, I began making fan pieces for the musical talent the natural state provided. The beauty behind this endeavor was the bands were kind enough to accept it, help promote it, and offer me flyer work. The Arkansas music scene truly inspired me to start making zines in the first place. So, that being said, please enjoy this zine template featuring some of Arkansas’s hidden musical gems. Thank you and Godspeed.

This year has had so many ups and downs and I’m happy to be ending the year on such a good note. For as many downs I had the ups have been that much better. As we leave this year tonight I just want to take a second to everyone who loves and supports me. If it weren’t for all of you I have no clue where I’d be in life. Here’s to last year and here’s to the exciting next year we’re all staring at! This new year is going to be special, I have a good feeling about it🫶🏻🫶🏻
