I’ve had this RotS Count Dooku since I was a kid. Contrary to popular opinion, I always preferred this Dooku over the Evolutions one. I never liked the fabric skirt on that one, and I always felt this headsculpt was a better likeness to Sir Christopher Lee.

Well the debate is finally over thanks to the new TVC Count Dooku! Thank you for your service, my dear old friend 🫡 but it’s time for you to go and enjoy retirement on Serenno!

Comparing these figures shows how incredibly far we’ve come since 2005. Do you prefer the new TVC style lightsabers or the old style with the “flare effect”? I personally have a hard time letting the old style go.. partially out of nostalgia but also because I think the more transparent plastic looks more “lightsaber-y” than the newer, more opaque plastic. And even tho it may not be screen-accurate, I find that the flare adds a certain amount of life and movement to the presentation to make up for the fact that they (obviously) could never make an action figure’s lightsaber look like it does on screen!

. I am so thankful that I got the chance to go to Washington DC and have the pleasure of going with friends! I made new friends from my own school while there and I never expected that when I was on that boring 10 hour bus ride. DC was real with y’all.
