Imagine, if you will, a bunch of 30-somethings, and they all go out to karaoke. Now imagine they've all agreed to sing 1 song all at the same time. That song? An original television cartoon theme song about 4 reptiles and 1 rodent who are all transformed and also they fight crime for some reason. The singing fools are all singing together, all over the place, and each person is only singing two words at a time. It's chaotic and silly and there's a lot of love and there's hints of the original but it's not the original now. People are making up their own words. They're changing the words. It's madness.
-
And THEN you realize that someone had the bright idea to record the song they just sang.
-
It's documented. This wild, unhinged, beautiful thing is now a matter of record, and someone else says, "Hey! Let's make copies of this and put it on Kickstarter!" Because all good ideas come from karaoke.
-
Now, imagine that in comic book form. A whole bunch of creatives paying tribute to an old comic by taking it and doing something completely different and absolutely bonkers with it and also everyone only gets a handful of pages and people are changing things left and right and adding things and producing an acid trip of a reading experience that's wildly different and still somehow full of love.
-
Do you like #Bartkira? Are you a fan of Shitty Watchmen? Then you're going to love Sewer Boyz. From some of the people that brought you #HornManAndJuggy and some of the same people that meet up once a month in Long Beach, CA, to drink and draw.

An Actor’s Affair, by @reishmanfilm (2020)
.
My very first short, written and directed by my fellow @theactingclass alum - a very cool piece that shows how the same conversation can change drastically in meaning depending on context. So smart! I play the actor in question’s scene rehearsal partner. :)
.
Starring @thecowwholosthermoo @erincarerela @iambrendagarcia @selynnesilver and shot by @jones_atom

Before I was an actress, I did wardrobe and MU!
.
This is one of the fateful shoots when I had the privilege of working with @reishmanfilms - the man who would point me in the direction of @theactingclass and the biggest passion I've had in life so far.
.
It’s a hilarious short about a pregnant couple in the way to make the big announcement to an estranged father... only the big surprise isn’t what you’d expect. Hint: there was a real, live BULL on set! Trust me, you’ll never guess...

Did you know I did Wardrobe & MU before I was an actor?
.
This is the fateful shoot on which @reishmanfilm pointed me in the direction of @theactingclass - and seriously changed the course of my life.
.
It was an absolute joy getting to work with all these talented, serious, dedicated actors. Seeing them work up close definitely helped inspire me to explore the other side of the camera. We had high winds and FIRES to contend with on this set, but to me it only felt like magic in the air!
.
I'll always be grateful for this cast and crew for showing me what a positive experience it can be to tell great stories together!

“If Ed Wood is the worst filmmaker in history, how come his movies make you feel so good?”
--- BWPODCAST.COM FOR DETAILS ---

Tonight on Binge-Watchers Podcast, it’s FEELING GOOD WITH ED WOOD!

Tonight’s movie? Ed Wood (1994) Because of his eccentric habits and bafflingly strange films, director Ed Wood (Johnny Depp) is a Hollywood outcast. Nevertheless, with the help of the formerly famous Bela Lugosi and a devoted cast and crew of show-business misfits who believe in Ed's off-kilter vision, the filmmaker is able to bring his oversize dreams to cinematic life. Despite a lack of critical or commercial success, Ed and his friends manage to create an oddly endearing series of extremely low-budget films.

A little about filmmaker, Ed Wood. Edward Davis Wood Jr. was an American filmmaker, actor, and author. In the 1950s, Wood directed several low-budget science fiction, crime and horror films, notably Glen or Glenda, Jail Bait, Bride of the Monster, Plan 9 from Outer Space, Night of the Ghouls and The Sinister Urge.

Should we spend a minute talking about the magic partnership between Johnny Depp and Tim Burton? Alright.

We will run down some home video headlines such as Wonder Woman 1984 goes to HBO Max, Scorpion King gets a Rock reboot, Alan Rickman’s movie diaries are being printed, Coming 2 America will be out in March, Deadpool 3 is being written by Bob’s Burger writers - The Molyneux Sisters, Stranger Things 4 casts Robert Englund, 10 Cloverfield Lane director is making the next Predator movie, Burbank gets a Batman, and some sad news about Michael J. Fox.

Turkey Day movies? Our favorites include Scent Of A Woman, Back To The Future 3, Elf, Home Alone, Jingle All The Way, and Rocky IV!

Plus first impressions, favorite bits from tonight’s movie, and we will rate this month’s run of feel good movies on our binge now, binge later, and binge never rating scales. We might even mention some alternative feel good movie choices like Wayne’s World 2 of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
