💖 My Favourite Baby Books 💖

#babybooks #babybookworm #babybookrecs #momlife

Educational Board Books.

Love a book that is actually teaching them something. The Hungry Caterpillar being the OG & elite at this.

Through this book alone we are learning:
🐛 Caterpillar Lifecycle
🐛 Numbers/ Counting
🐛 Days of the Week
🐛 Food

#babybooks #babybookrecs ##babybookworm #thehungrycaterpillar

Touch & Feel/ Tab Board Books.

Another great learning tool, great for independent play as they get older. These books help learn textures & fine motor skills.

❗️Fair warning: they will get chewed & ripped. Clutch your pearls fellow bookworms!

#babybooks #thegruffalo #juliadonaldson

Now we’re onto the more fun (for me at least) portion of Edie’s bookshelf!…

Julia Donaldson Books.

I have recently fallen in love with reading this stories to Edie. Not only do they usually have a nice message in the story but the rhythm scheme makes these a JOY to read.

They also open up a whole world of attraction visits to see these characters come alive. Some of these including @twycrosszoo & @warwickcastleofficial !

#juliadonaldson #thegruffalo #zog #roomonthebroom #babybooks

And finally PUG books.

Edie already loves her puggies so we obviously love reading about them too! My favourite being the Noodle & Milton books by @showmenoodz & @jongraz 🐾

Not only are these beautifully illustrated they also have a wonderful message in every book!

📚✨ 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐫𝐚𝐩-𝐔𝐩 ✨📚

Seven books. 𝙁𝙞𝙫𝙚 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙬𝙤 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙨. I’ll happily take that kind of reading month! 🥰

My August reads were:

📖 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
📖 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
📖 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 — ⭐⭐⭐⭐
📖 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
📖 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐞 — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
📖 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞 — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
📖 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 — ⭐⭐⭐⭐

A few fun details from this month:

✨ 𝙇𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙮, 𝙇𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙀𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 were all part of my Goodreads challenges.
✨ 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙩𝙤𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨 𝙖 𝙈𝙤𝙫𝙚, 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙤𝙚𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙀𝙣𝙙 𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙣𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 and 𝙇𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙚 were copies I received from publishers. Thank you @minotaur_books @simonkids and @celadonbooks for the copies!
✨ Most of these were 𝙖𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙤𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨 — apparently August was the month of listening! 🎧
✨ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 and 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞 were my physical reads.
✨ I actually owned a physical copy of 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲, but ended up experiencing it through the audiobook instead.

And if I had to pick 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡…

🥁🥁🥁

𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 💛

That one completely stole the show for me. I loved the story, the characters, and the audiobook experience so much. Definitely one of those books that stays with you after you finish it.

Overall, August was a VERY good reading month. 📚☕️

✨️AUGUST READING WRAP-UP ✨️

So I thought I was out of my reading slump but turns out I was not. This was most likely due to me switching jobs halfway through the month. I still read some great books in August though!

My favorite was Milton Makes a Move but some very memorable reads include The Unsinkable Greta James and This Story Might Save Your Life.

I really enjoyed Ghost in the Night and Gay the Pray Away. Currently looking for a little free library to put Gay the Pray Away in because I know that this book would be so important for a younger person to find.

#reader #bookstagram #bookblog #readingwrapup

Believe it or not I hauled very few books 😁

💕Milton Makes a Move by @jongraz
💕The Heirs by @faridahlikestea
💕Ghost in the Night by @writeinbk
💕The Unknown by @riley.sager

Sadly I did DNF some books although it did help me get my TBR down!

Scandalous Women was a bit boring and there were so many characters to follow and it just wasn't for me.

The May House was a highly anticipated book for me but sadly the sisters all felt the same and I just didn't have much interest 😅

We are slowly getting down! I will unfortunately have to read a lot in September (🤞🏻 I am able to read a lot) to even out how many books are coming in with all the September pre-orders + Subscription boxes😅

Currently Reading A Deadly Entanglement by @cathy_pegau and loving it!! I'm primarily focusing on this book right now and hopefully will finish it today.

I am a singular page into The Midnight Train by @mattzhaig and I know for sure that this book is going to break me 🫶🏻

IS TODAY A BONES DAY OR A NO BONES DAY?

The man—and the pug!—behind one of the internet’s most joyful viral sensations is joining Arden Moore on Oh Behave!

Jonathan Graziano, New York Times bestselling author and creator of the unforgettable “Bones or No Bones” videos starring his beloved late pug Noodle, introduces us to the newest star of the “Noodleverse”—Milton!

Jonathan shares how senior rescue pug Noodle unexpectedly became a TikTok phenomenon with millions of fans, why a No Bones Day gave people permission to slow down and show themselves a little grace, and how Noodle’s legacy continues to spread joy.

Then meet Milton, a senior rescue pug who traveled all the way from Korea to find his forever home with Jonathan. His remarkable journey inspired Jonathan’s new children’s book, Milton Makes a Move, a sweet and funny story about bravery, friendship and discovering that being scared doesn’t mean you can’t be brave.

And yes... there are pug snorts, senior-dog love, cats named Nutmeg and Chai, and a conversation about the superpower Jonathan wishes he could steal from a pug.

🎧 Listen now to Oh Behave with Arden Moore on Pet Life Radio!
