Some rooms are created for an event.

Others are created because a conversation needs somewhere to happen.

For nearly a decade, EBK has been intentional about creating rooms where founders, leaders and changemakers can connect, exchange ideas and access perspectives that can influence what comes next.

Because behind every business is a person making decisions in real time.

Do I say yes? Do I take the risk? Do I negotiate? Do I pivot? Do I walk away?
Do I bet on myself?

The economic landscape is constantly changing.

And sometimes what founders need most isn’t another pitch, another panel or another networking event.

They need a room to think.

That was the intention behind ASCEND: NYC Mind, Body & Travel Leadership Summit, curated by EBK this past April.

We brought together an incredible group of founders, leaders and thought partners to have meaningful conversations about entrepreneurship, leadership, wellness, travel, growth and what it really takes to build in today’s landscape.

To our ASCEND speakers, partners and community: thank you for helping us create a room that was bigger than the event itself. Thank you @lucidmotors for being an integral part of this endeavor.

Your voices, experiences and perspectives were part of the reason the room mattered.

And this is what we believe:

When you create access, you create possibility.

When you create community, you create momentum.

And when you create the right room, the conversation can continue long after the event ends.

A nor’easter had other plans for our special historic walking tour this weekend, but we didn’t let the weather stop the fun!

Instead, we packed @scanhouse for a lively indoor program exploring Murray Hill and Revolutionary-era New York City. @rgarrtours brought the history to life with fascinating stories, and guests even enjoyed traditional foods inspired by the time period.

A full house, great energy, and a wonderful afternoon celebrating the history right here in our neighborhood!
