Logan wanted to come back to boxing. Where he first learned it with Jonny.

On the drive down he said “dad, it’s sad Jonny isn’t here because I know how much he likes Pokemon and I have a new pokemon shirt and he can’t see it now”

I told him “oh don’t you worry, he sees you with it on right now and I know he loves it”

We get to the gym and he sees the cutouts of Jonny around the gym. He stares at them for a little then starts playing then shadow boxing. I start working out.

Later he gets the gloves on and wanted me to hold mits for him the same way he did. Then after he hit bags. As if there was some extra force behind him, because it’s the hardest I’ve ever seen him hit those bags.

I wanted to make sure that he still found that gym as a fun and safe space as he always did. He loves that place.

It’s been almost two weeks without you and I’m still trying to wrap my head around this. My heart hurts knowing you’re gone and it still doesn’t feel real.

Jonny was one of those people who genuinely cared. The kind of person who would drop everything in a heartbeat just to show up for someone who needed him. He moved through this world unapologetically, leaving a mark on everyone lucky enough to cross path with him— and I was one of the lucky ones.

Jonny, thank you for sharing your love with all of us. I’m so grateful to have met you and for the memories I got to create with you. You brought a community together in celebration of your life. You were so deeply loved and you will never be forgotten — because legends never die.

“And please baby, don’t forget to remember the name— “

Rest in peace Jonny🪽Thank you for everything you gave to me and to so many others. You will never be forgotten. 🥊🕊️🖤

Thank you for taking me under your wing and giving me the opportunity to coach boxing at Level Up. I’ll never forget all the conversations we had about boxing, about life, and everything in between. Those talks meant more to me than I can even explain.

You were always there for me and for my fight career. Since my very first Golden Gloves fight in 2021, you were the one wrapping my hands supporting me, guiding me, and believing in me. I’ll always hold onto the memories of all the laughter and the good times we shared in the locker room before fights & all the 5 am coaching with me waking the whole gym up screaming 🤣📣

I still can’t believe you’re gone. This doesn’t feel real. 💔🪽
