Portrait of George Stinney Jr.

George was given the chair in South Carolina, the year before my father was born. He was 14 years old. Wrongfully convited of a crime. He was too short to reach the various straps and skullcap, so he had to sit on books in order for the sentence to be carried out.

George could still be alove today having lived a full and fruitful life.

I have absolutely no interest in any 'arguments' in favour of capital punishment. It's medieval, barbaric and useless.

@leo_ladc recording the sound of @bethanylouiseslater and @tgbridger as smug idiots Carol and Dean.

From our short comedy films ‘Couple Goals’, which is now available to watch on YouTube; head to the link in @tgbridger’s bio to watch!

Info:

A struggling journalist tries to make a high-brow documentary with a very low-brow couple.

Couple Goals is a comedy mockumentary following struggling journalist Alayla Jago who, aspiring to make a high-minded documentary about influencer culture, follows Carol & Dean, a 30-something influencer couple who unbendingly believe lads should be blokes, chicks should be babes, and that neither should, or will ever, make a mistake. Ever.

Seeing how much discomfort Carol & Dean force on themselves to practice the web of rules they preach, Alayla wrestles with the temptation to influence their behaviour to even further extremes for the camera.

A reminder to work with actresses who can do it all. @bethanylouiseslater has recently been glamming up the red carpet for her role as Mrs Palmer in the new ’Sense and Sensibility’, but she was always equally willing to throw herself into looking like an utter berk for the sake of comedy as Carol in our short film ‘Couple Goals’. To wit: providing the headshots to be pasted onto this bit of dignified set decoration.

Congratulations Bethany. Well deserved!
