Murder Mystery Weekend 2026. 18 houseguests. 26 for dinner each night. Everyone in costumes. Miraculously meals made it to the table (thank you @ideltour and @jennifermagdaleneraiser for commandeering the kitchen), wine flowed freely and all guests rose to the occasion. Lots of interesting embellishments to the storyline, heated debate, raucous laughter, and deep connection. A large table is a blessing when filled with loved ones from near and far. My cup runneth over. I dare say I will not write another of these anytime soon but it sure was fun to watch the story unfold as the guests inhabited their characters. The old oak walls may have heard enough from us for a while. Thank you friends and family for embracing your post US Civil War costumes with such gusto. Cheers 🥂🥂

Hats N’ Roses

The annual Rose Garden Party returns this summer. Set at the historic James P. Kelleher Rose Garden, with over 3,000 rose bushes (and 200 varieties) in peak bloom, this yearly tradition supports Boston’s ParkARTS programming. Hosted by @mayorwu and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, it’s one of the city’s most beloved soirées—one that helps keep the city’s concerts, festivals and community events free and accessible for all.

Inside the 28th Rose Garden Party last year, floral frocks and head-turning hats all captured by @michaelblanchard.

Follow @bostonparksdept and visit boston.gov/rose-garden-party to learn more.
