What a week! What a journey! And what a joy to watch @kyle_maclachlan share so much of himself in FICTIONAL SELVES.

You’d think after 24 years I’d know all the stories. Apparently not! The roles, the people, the chances taken, the ones that got away, and all the unexpected turns along the way.

The love for Kyle has been felt from coast to coast this week. There’s an old saying that if you say kind words, you hear kind echoes. Kyle, you’ve put a lot of kindness out into the world. How wonderful to watch it all come back to you. So proud of you, my love. Here’s to you and all your fictional selves! ❤️🙏

Get your copy this week! Or, better yet, download the audiobook and let Kyle read it to you, impressions and all … just wait until you hear his David Lynch. 😉

Another powerful and inspiring day of site visits with my amazing #2026LeadershipAcademy mentees at @samaritandaytopvillage Richard Pruss Wellness Center in the Bronx. 🌇 (We missed you, Stephanie!)

A huge thank you to Arlene and Lucia for welcoming us so warmly and guiding us through all six floors of this extraordinary hub of integrated care — including the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), New Beginnings and Independence Outpatient Treatment programs (#CCBHCs), Hope Care Management, PARC Bronx, and @samaritandaytophealth. 💚 Seeing these services working together under one roof is always a powerful reminder of what it means to truly meet people where they are and support whole-person healing.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was the creative arts therapy activity led by Lucia, where we participated in a yarn-wrapping exercise 🧶🧶 that allowed us to reflect, share, and reconnect with the core values guiding our work together — Respect & Caring + #Teamwork. ❣️ These moments of intention and connection are shaping the final project presentations our mentees will deliver later this month.

There were also beautiful moments of synchronicity throughout the day — staff members who have collaborated for months (or years!) on Zoom actually meeting face-to-face, instantly recognizing each other’s voices, energy, and shared commitment to this work. It was a reminder that #leadership is not just about strategy and structure — it is about human connection, presence, and the magic that happens when people come together in the same space with a common purpose. 🫂

And yes… the powerful memoir about @bkbmg #MichaelKWilliams is still there on the shelf (thank you, @aaponte!). 💜🖤 A quiet but powerful presence. We know his spirit continues to look down on everyone here with love, strength, and support — reminding us why this work matters so deeply.

Grateful for the learning, the laughter, the reflection, and the sense that something meaningful is unfolding — one connection, one conversation, one shared experience at a time. ✨

May 19, 2005.
20 years ago today, we had our official first date. We walked to pier 45 after dinner and Jon noticed this grate and my 4 inch stiletto heels (Dolce & Gabbana). Without hesitation he picked me up and carried me over the grate. This sealed the deal.
