POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

At the start of the year I caught Don’t Stop by Ruggo & MyGuyMars which was put out by SwiftRecords. Well now we get Rodney’s Record, Vol. 1, an EP filled with a various artists and one that brings great summer vibes! Short enough for a track by track breakdown, let me get into things!
.
Mission Statement [Intro] from Rodney Swift himself gets things going and rolls the ball right into Long Time Coming. A song by Jordan Oz that has him rapping and flexing his vocals. Sometimes this style can miss for me but Long Time Coming is a great track and one of the clear standouts on this EP. Bankroll is Blanco & Ruggo spitting rapidly over the laid back and chill beat, a dope combo and it was great to see Ruggo here who absolutely went off.
.
The ball is already rolling and the momentum continued with Oops & Why Would I Wait. Oops brings back Jordan Oz and introduces Eurowkk, both of these two are spitting on one of the darker beats on the EP. The other song that can match the tone is Why Would I Wait by Khern$ & Mimek One. Khern$ starts the track off and provides a catchy hook that’s not some simple shit, then Mimek One spits a verse in Spanish that sounds dope. The last song is Dance With Me by Miz.Clover. It’s soft and calm to end the album as Miz.Clover sings out, it’s a good song but also the weakest point of the EP for me and my tastes.
.
This was a great EP from SwiftRecords! I liked the different talent on display throughout both rapping and singing. No time was wasted just like you’d want from a short project like this. I’ll be interested to see what comes next from SwiftRecords and the artists they work with!
