Students! Across our great state, Republican-led Board of Elections have chosen to attack our right to vote. They have chosen to fight dirty to discourage us from voting in this midterm election. It is our duty to not only show them that we do not play about voter access but that young people can and will show up this November.
They know that the scammer in chief who sits in the Oval Office will lose them this election, but instead of using the powers given to them by the Constitution, they cower and hide behind corporate interests.

Young people everywhere, stand up for yourselves because no one will do it for you!

See you Tuesday!

Thank you @vivekprakriya @jasoncrowco @tarahoot @jordanforgood for not only attending our convention but also for taking the time to appear in this Video.

2026 Massachusetts State Democratic Convention // 5/29-30/2026

Wow. While I might’ve gone into this being skeptical of the Democratic Party, and emerged from it still being skeptical, it still was an amazing experience. From talking to the Governor and Attorney General to talking to friends I knew well beforehand (basically every congressional and even randomly @catherinepetula!) It was amazing to get the chance to be in such a space, and to have some real influence within it. I made so many new connections across MA and gained plenty of knowledge from many of those who have been around much longer than me. Least to say, I am so glad I was able to go to this, and it was something I will never forget not stop talking about for the next week or two.

Of course, I have many people to thank for getting me there. From my fellow Ward 3 folks for nominating me as a delegate, my city Dems chair for giving me a ride to and from, to @verasunionsq for giving me a day off to go to this, and all of the amazing people at the Convention who truly made it special. The people, not the speeches or even the votes, are what make something like this as great as it is.

- Simone Alcindor
Delegate, Medford Ward 3
[proud Markey delegate]

P.S. I might be the new Medford Ward 3 Democratic Committee Chair??? Because the Ctiy Chair didn’t know the old one died???

P.S.P.S 1) No I didn’t hear the meteor because I was inside, 2) Maura Healey gave me Biden flashbacks, 3) Markey’s speech was amazing and Moulton fans should cope harder because your favorite boy is both shit and a transphobe.
