SPOTTED: Just when you thought it was safe to put away the pom-poms, Zombie Cheerleaders From Hell has risen again at Can Can—and apparently death looks fabulous in leg warmers! Having caught the show again, I can report that there's a new Brad in town, and what a deliciously wicked addition he is! The uber-talented Nicholas Bernard, our original Brad, has traded his zombie cheerleading duties for Can Can's annual This Is Halloween at The Triple Door, opening tonight, October 15. Stepping into his shoes is the gorgeous and very much missed Jordan Iosua Taylor, who relocated to Los Angeles five years ago. And honey, what a homecoming! Taylor oozes sex appeal, commands the stage and, yes, the man can SING! He's an equally sizzling match for the total stud and host, Jonny Boy (Jonathan Betchel), who plays Eugene, the lovable school nerd and seemingly the only student who hasn't become a zombie. With these two sharing the stage, the temperature rises faster than the body count!

The small but mighty cast continues to have a bloody good time, with Rey Rodriguez bringing the killer moves while Susan Ballenski, Savannah Lynn and the always fabulous Shadoe Mintrone round out this undead squad with enough attitude, talent and sex appeal to make you wonder why zombies ever bothered eating brains. The production remains a deliciously twisted cocktail of '80s horror, acid-washed nostalgia, dark humor, killer choreography and plenty of glitter. But Taylor's return adds something extra special. After five years away, seeing him back on a Seattle stage feels like welcoming home an old favorite—only hotter, more confident and clearly ready to raise a little hell. Bernard certainly left some big shoes to fill, but Taylor slips into them beautifully. And let's just say the chemistry between Taylor and Jonny Boy is enough to make even the undead feel a pulse!

Zombie Cheerleaders From Hell continues through November 1, pairing its campy horror spectacle with Can Can's seasonal fare and spooky cocktails. It's sexy, silly, nostalgic and just twisted enough to make Halloween in Seattle a little more sexier. -MKS
