🥁 RHYTHM FIRST. BORDERS SECOND. 🥁
BONTAN @bontanbeats

From Liverpool to Ibiza, Coachella, and dance floors around the world, Bontan has built a career around one unmistakable ingredient: the groove.

The UK DJ and producer has become one of Beatport’s best-selling artists, collecting multiple #1 records along the way. Named a BBC Radio 1 Future Star, winner of Best Newcomer at the DJ Awards, and the artist behind two Radio 1 Essential Mixes, Bontan has spent years carving out his own space in global house music.

The last year pushed that momentum even further with sold-out North American tours, a Coachella appearance, Ibiza dates, a Major Lazer remix, and releases on underground imprints including No Art and Good Company Records.

In 2025, he opened another chapter with the launch of North Drum — his own imprint created as a home for his music while providing a platform for fresh talent and artists within his community.

He closed the year ranked #4 among Beatport’s 10 best-selling Afro House artists, cementing a sound driven by hypnotic percussion, deep rhythms, rolling grooves, and serious dance-floor energy.

Now the rhythm comes to Halcyon. 🌎

Between events in SF and Santa Barbara and generally trying to soak up every last bit of summer, I’ve been a little terrible about sharing everything happening over here 😭 But this one was far too special not to come back to.

A little over a month ago, I brought Cheers to That! to San Francisco. 🥂✨

I was probably more nervous about this event than any of the others. San Francisco is home. These were babes from completely different chapters of my life, people who had never met one another, and even a few I’d never met before.

I wondered: Would everyone understand what I’m trying to build? Would they want to be part of it? Would they walk away feeling like the night had given them something?

And somehow, it became more special than I could have imagined.

We laughed. We cried. We shared the big wins and the tiny ones that might never make it onto Instagram. We listened to each other. We celebrated each other.

And I think that’s the magic of Une Bonne Vivante.

A community that reminds us to actually live our lives. To celebrate the big things and the little things. To show up for each other. To make new connections, try new things, take up space, and never get so busy chasing what’s next that we forget to savor what’s already here.

This night felt like such a beautiful little glimpse of that.

I’m incredibly proud of Cheers to That!, but even more grateful for every babe who shows up and makes this community what it is.

To my SF babes: thank you for coming, for being open, for cheering one another on, and for bringing your beautiful selves into this little world we’re creating together. I love you all so much. 🥹❤️

And we’re only getting started.

More cities. More tables. More connections. More adventures. More reasons to celebrate.

Cheers to that. 🥂✨
