Filming Christopher Nolan’s - The Odyssey!!

A little late, but how can you explain the absolute once in a lifetime unreal adventure we had ✨
Away from home travelling over many months, sailing the seas 🌊 , finding random abandoned planes, creating our own training spaces, and eating absurd amounts of ice cream 🍨

How incredibly lucky to have been chosen to be part of this 🙏

Worked with so many talented artist all throughout the production and to have been Telemachus (Tom Holland) , Odysseus (Matt Damon) and Agamemnon’s (Benny Safdie) Crew!!! 💪

Wasn’t always rosy but well worth it!!

Thank you to @take3agency for giving us this opportunity 🙏

Con estas palabras, Jorge Leon, actor y especialista de cine de acción malagueño, se refiere a su trabajo junto al director británico en La Odisea.

➡Durante tres meses, Leon recorrió lugares emblemáticos de Italia, Grecia, Marruecos, Escocia o Islandia como parte del grupo principal de los hombres de Odiseo. Como el casco ocultaba su rostro, el actor español afincado en Londres desde 2005 también pudo dar vida a uno de los soldados de Telémaco y a otro de los guerreros de Agamenón

Filming The Odyssey was an adventure of a lifetime! 🎬🌊🌊🌊

I rowed and sailed for 3 months on real ships on epic locations in Greece, Italy, Iceland and Scotland as part of Odysseus and Telemachus crew, filming the new Christopher Nolan film, THE ODYSSEY 🌊🎬

The days were long, we faced many natural and mythological challenges.

As hard as it was I loved every minute of it. What an amazing cast and crew, who are all among the best in the world at what they do, going above and beyond to make the best film possible. Lead by one of the greatest filmmakers of all time.

So many great memories and above all so many new friendships.

The film is amazing! Go see it on the largest screen you can.

The adventures we had on this! 2 months spent in Greece and Italy, rowing and sailing as part of the Odysseyus crew.

Second time following @matt_damon_official into battle. It’s gets more epic every time

Yes, that is a real volcano erupting (slide 9). Stromboli is one of the most active volcanoes, and goes off every twenty or thirty minutes.

To Maree Jewell - Maree was my Speech & Drama teacher, and the person who passed on my love for acting. I started this whole journey with Maree at the age of 3. Sadly we lost Maree last year while I was on The Odyssey. On the day of her funeral, I had a day off from the water. I was on the beach sitting by a boat that reminded me of her vivid spirit, watching from the middle of nowhere, joining everyone in saying goodbye to her, working on the biggest film of the year. It felt like she had followed the sun, took the trip across the waves, to say goodbye to me. You were a phenomenal force of laughter and inspiration. You were unrelenting in your dedication to your students, and passion for the craft. You were a recognised fashion icon. You were loved by peers, students, and parents, and a cornerstone of the Irish Drama scene. You were the quintessential drama teacher, and a wonderful woman.
I hope I made you proud, Maree.

In April I spent 5 weeks in Sicily, part 1 was in Favignana.
1,3,4,5 - a trip to Palermo
2, 7, 10 - climbing the Mountain on the island
6 - Favignana port at sunset
8 - the best pasta I’ve ever had at La Bettola
9 - the homemade beach gym we used
11 - Stromboli volcano in the distance
12 - as we head to our next island. With mount Etna behind us
