Tomorrow is CCC-day! 🏔️

At 9:00 sharp @joris_huang will be taking on the CCC - Hoka UTMB Mt. Blanc. Joris will by now be sleeping like a rose (hopefully 🤞🏼), but we wanted to show you what he will be carrying with him tomorrow 👀.

Tomorrow’s parcous will also have more elevation and kilometers than the original parcours, due to adjustments because of the bad weather⛈️.

108km with 6.397D+ and 3539 is the number to follow!

D4. The last one 🏔️

Rough morning for Alex and Laurent, both would’ve happily crawled back into bed instead of lacing up one more time 🐛.
In addition, Joris forgot his sunglasses somewhere along the way and Alex’s knee was done for, making the finish line even harder to reach. Even right till the end, the trip proved to be chaotic at times.

This recap marks the end of our Tour du Mont Blanc fastpack.
4 days. 3 borders crossed on foot. Endless climbs, longer descents, and more salt lost than we’d like to admit 🧂.

Would we do it again? Joris says yes without hesitation. Alex and Laurent... ask them when you see them 😅

D3. The toughest stage 💀

60km. 3300m D+.

Alex basically summed up trail running today: after every descent you want it to go up again, after every climb you just want it to go down again 😵‍💫.
Meanwhile he also took off like he wasn’t 3 days deep, although all three of us hit the trenches by evening. We still made time for the Tour de France highlights though 🚵🏼.
Toughest stage of the trip. One day to go.

D2 - Borders have been crossed today 🏔️🇫🇷🇮🇹

3 climbs. 38km. 2900m D+. Oof.
And this isn’t even the hardest day of this fastpack 😮‍💨
Even though our countries changed today, our stunning views of the alps didn’t (and these got admired even more on the occasional scenic pitstop ofc ✨)
The day ended the way it should: Laurent glued to the Tour de France highlights, Alex deep into a post-run stretch → legs cooked but spirits high.

D1 - Officially on the Tour du Mont-Blanc 🏔️.

Including the first “real climb” of the trip: Col de Tricot. Steep and exactly the kind of wake-up call you need on day one.
Laurent nearly ate dirt on the descent (we’ve got the footage, sorry not sorry 😂), luckily still making it out alive so our trip doesn’t have to continue as a duo 🙃.

D1 down - Tired legs, happy faces, and all caught up with the Tour de France 🚵🏼.

Last Friday our athletes ran the Nike ACG Oriëntation run organized by @runnerslab.be ⛰️

Although it was 35°C, it didn't stop our runners from bringing the heat to the trails finding their way as fast as possible using a map 🔥
