A couple of weeks ago, we hosted the first T Germany gathering for our community in Vienna, celebrating the opening of @ericasamoahstudio’s new exhibition @foto_arsenal_wien. We brought together creatives from the worlds of art, culture and fashion for an evening of connection and conversation.

5 DAYS PARALLEL
Tension, concentration, conversations, fun, hope-everything that comes with an art fair.
And what a fair it has become: established, vibrant, full of discoveries, with great spirit & cool atmosphere & fantastic programme.
Still remember the early days, when I was a bit involved on the organisational side. So I’m particularly happy to see it now!Congratulations!

At Pav. 13 I focused with @michaela_schwarzweismann and @selbstorganisation on painting, juxtaposed with photographic portraits by @jorkweismann
As always, there was a curatorial thread „Synchronized?“,this time quite open.

What matters most to me is something I fundamentally believe in: (good) art touches people. This happened. Not only because we sold some, but because people came back. They looked, stayed, talked, returned, and took something: a thought, an emotion or simply the pleasure of looking, connecting.
After so many years of working closely with artists, developing ideas, building trust & moving forward together, it‘s always good to feel that this pays off.
From outside, the art world can look attractive. Easy. It isn’t. Knowledge, experience, commitment, long hours, weekends, stress, disappointments are crucial.Really hard work.
And that’s why the good moments matter. Artists need recognition, the feeling that their work reaches people. That someone suddenly connects, wants / gets it.

// Just in case:some are still available! 🙏DM!

A 🤍ThankYou @michaela_schwarzweismann. Working with her is such a pleasure that, when it comes to hanging/ preparing, I often think: if she weren’t such a brilliant artist, she might be the partner I’ve been looking for since we founded our gallery T19 / 1990s with @monika_palzinsky! By partnership, I mean someone who understands, thinks along, takes responsibility, has an expert eye, genuine respect for art plus decent social skills. AND is willing to truly invest time. Hard to find.
Perhaps that’s why I’m happy working mostly on my own again, choosing temporary teams when they make sense.

Anyway: We loved @parallelvienna & it’s great to have @astoria_artshow too!!

TRY & LOVE ART!

August was a serious summer month — lots of mountains, walking, hiking, running, swimming in lakes, enjoying nature at its fullest.

The heat, the perfect excuse to slow down and reconnect — with friends, new encounters, and myself.

Beauties sent to the printer and days spent at the printing machine.

Back to sitting down and writing letters to surprise loved ones with something personal in their post box.

Returning with lots of moments worth remembering and good energy for a beautiful late summer, early fall.
