@dspraofficial is all about celebrating identity, heritage, & culture. So about a year ago, I started Where We Belong — a video interview series to give others the opportunity to do just that.

I was hesitant at first. I didn’t feel confident speaking in public, on video, or on the internet, I wasn’t sure how many people would be interested in appearing in the series, and I didn’t know if the content would really resonate with people.

I still can’t say for sure if it truly does or doesn’t, but what I can say is this:
- Got ~100,000K views across Instagram and TikTok & 4,500+ likes
- Completed 10 different interviews, posted the videos, and published the full interviews on shop-dspra.com (+ still have a few unpublished videos in the archives)
- Learned from & connected with people doing amazing things
- Got more comfortable speaking in front of the camera
- Developed my interview skills
- Honed my skills as an editor
- Created something I’m proud of

Next up: we’re celebrating identity, heritage, and culture at DSPRAFIESTA. Pull up to Easy Lover in Williamsburg on June 14 🌐

Special thank you & shoutout to @tigiii.d/@darkest.hue, @casielle.jpg, @naiomi.abiola, @east303buddy, @_a.angeles_, @yasminetiana_, @aishamoney, @josdigitalplayground, & @jordanpierree
