Another first half of a year lived through the sport I love: running.

There’s something about structuring your whole life around training blocks, and yes, +7 years now living like that. Marathon training is raw.

Every day at your edge, hunting that threshold, holding the tipping point, stretching it a little further.

Then Copenhagen came. From the day the block began, not a single day passed without thinking about everyone running it: close friends here in Mexico who’ve lived this alongside me for years, the ones just adopting it now, the ones across other countries on the same energy. All of us pointing at the same dates: a shakeout on May 9, our best versions on May 10.

Something I keep realizing: arriving to a marathon as athlete, coach, and friend carries its own particular weight. You don’t engineer that. You just live it. And I love it.

Watching all of them, insanely committed every week, but also fully living: jobs, families, travel, noise. We each carry different buckets, and every one needs water. The real art isn’t just performing. It’s balancing all of it at once.

There is one thing I want for the athletes close to me: don’t let a marathon goal or time become your whole identity. That’s the fastest way to lose the very thing that made you fall in love with running.

Some days in Spain came, back to the magic island, one of my favorite places in the world.

Some chapters don’t unfold the way you drew them; they just surface what you already knew and hadn’t said out loud.

I feel good about that.

What I’ll carry most from these two weeks isn’t a race or a city.

It’s the certainty that some presences in your life, rare, real, completely irreplaceable, are the actual structure holding everything else up.

Grateful more than I know how to say for that -> Chutzpah

Half a year ahead, aiming to live by transcending. Dad, coach, link, entrepreneur, athlete.

Still curious. Always curious.

The mess is the point. The learning is the reward.

More of this life. With all of these people. Always.
