“México”
Mexican Institute of Sound
Quartyard, San Diego
6 August 2026

Waited 15 years to see the live version of Camilo Lara’s project and was amped that they played 3 tracks from their mind-blowing 2012 album Político. Glad I stayed alive✌️

This Is Why We Do This:

In a world haunted by vampiric power struggles, egotistical destruction, superficial commercialism, and hate, we choose something different.

We create and protect the spaces where true culture can gather—all walks of life, all generations, all songs, all colors, all stories, no hierarchy.

Spaces where music is ceremony, where strangers become community, and where bad vibes become good friends. Got a lot to unveil in the coming months but for now…

Thank you @sonrompepera @lamaguana_ @joseb19 @clandestimo and the @quartyardsd team for this past Friday.

Upcoming Shows:

•5/28 Thursday @losmirlos @tropamagica @reza.brass
•8/4 Tuesday @ims_mis @meridianbrothers

more to be announced soon…
