This past weekend was my last tournament with the girls. As they head to Kentucky for their final tournament of this AAU season this weekend, I want to take a moment to reflect on this past summer.

It was a summer filled with adversity, development, growth, lessons, laughs, and most importantly, sisterhood. Watching these girls grow both on and off the court has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.

I’m going to miss our practices, trainings, road trips, team meals, the laughs, the conversations, and most of all, the bonds I’ve built with each girl individually and with this team as a whole. Every girl brought something different to this team, and I hope each of them knows how proud I am of them.

This summer wasn’t always easy, but the challenges made us stronger. We had our ups and downs, but we continued to show up, compete, learn, and grow together. That’s what I’ll remember most.

I can’t wait to see what each of these young ladies accomplishes this upcoming school year — not only athletically, but academically and in life. Keep working, keep believing in yourselves, and never forget how far you’ve come.

A huge thank you to @kaylarayann87 for being my partner throughout this journey. This summer, we combined our two programs, Lady Venom and CinCity Lady Hoosiers, to form CinCity Lady Venom (CCLV), and I’m truly grateful for everything we were able to build together.

To the parents, families, supporters, and everyone who helped make this summer possible — THANK YOU. Your support, sacrifices, rides, time, and encouragement did not go unnoticed.

And to my girls: this may be the end of our AAU summer, but it’s definitely not the end of the journey. Keep pushing, keep growing, keep being there for one another, and most importantly, keep being the young women you are becoming.

CCLV forever. 🖤🏀💯

One summer. One team. One sisterhood.
The journey continues… (ESOS Every Season Is Our Season)
