A few photos from the past month of my life.
A month of tattoos, love, music & friendship. I’m in constant awe of all the kind, creative people I’m fortunate to be surrounded by. And absolute gratitude to all the people that partook in the Jinx Proof 30th anniversary celebrations… the tattooers that came through, the musicians that played, all the clients that got tattooed, all the friends that stopped by the shop & everyone that came to the anniversary show… way too many people to tag here. I love you all! 🫵☝️👍

Friday night was a hardcore show and a family reunion all in one! Between running into old faces, meeting new ones, and taking in the room, there just wasn’t enough time to chat with everyone I wanted to. The people in these pictures helped me grow and become the person I am. I could only take so many pictures, so believe me there are many others I owe that to. It was incredibly heartwarming to see so many smiles in one night.
.
Musically, unbelievable from the jump. Huge respect to Posición Unida for setting the pace, finally catching Final Agony, and seeing Damnation A.D. tear it up—the band that first opened the door to hardcore for me. TUI and Youth of Today gave the crowd the exact catharsis and community release only this music can deliver.
.
To anyone I didn’t get to hug or catch up with: you already know. Much love and congratulations to Jinx Proof on 30 legendary years! Here’s to 30 more!!!

“The most dangerous band in Los Angeles.” — @latimes

DEAD CITY PUNX
📅 Sat, Sept. 5, 6:30 p.m.
🎤 Intro by filmmakers Roger Gastman (@rogergastman) and Joseph Pattisall (@josephpattisall)

The new documentary from Roger Gastman’s Beyond the Streets (THE LEGEND OF COOL DISCO DAN) follows the LA-based band Dead City Punx, whose massive illegal outdoor shows full of fireworks, fistfights, bonfires and graffiti pit them against the LAPD, LAFD and the mayor, while ultimately resuscitating the Los Angeles music scene. This film forces the viewer to question what DIY and punk really mean when sh*t gets real.

▪️Presented by Beyond the Streets and Jinx Proof Tattoos

🎟️ Special Engagements in bio for tickets.

Along side our friends @beyondthestreetsart , as part of the @jinxprooftattoos 30th Anniversary celebration, we are stoked to present the East Coast premiere of the DEAD CITY PUNX documentary at the @afisilvertheatre theater in Silver Spring, Md on Saturday, September 5th.
The director/producer Roger Gastman and producer/editor Joseph Pattisal are both DC natives, and have both been involved in the DC hardcore/punk, graffiti and art scenes since the late 80s/early 90s. Both are also close, longtime friends of Jinx Proof and have spent a lot of time in our shop hanging out and getting tattooed. The guy from Hard Stance and Inside Out was also a producer on this film, so that’s pretty sick. Tickets are on sale now, and this WILL sell out! Link in my bio.

Join us for the East Coast premiere of the Dead City Punx documentary!

BEYOND THE STREETS & Jinx Proof Tattoos present DEAD CITY PUNX, a documentary of musical mayhem from Executive Producers Roger Gastman, Joseph Pattisall & Zack de la Rocha, with its East Coast Premiere screening on September 5, 2026, at AFI Silver Theatre in Silver Spring, MD.

The movie follows Dead City Punx, whose massive illegal outdoor shows full of fireworks, fistfights, bonfires, and graffiti pit them against the LAPD, LAFD, and the mayor, ultimately resuscitating LA’s music scene while forcing the viewer to question what DIY and punk really mean.

Born from stolen equipment and street life connections, Dead City Punx — Meka, Grumpy, Mike, and Adrian — built stages for their shows from shoplifted wood, used social media as their “bat signal,” and turned performances into a crime scene complete with graffiti backdrops, bonfires, and police helicopters.

Through fan-filmed concert footage and exclusive interviews, ‘DEAD CITY PUNX’ captures how four outcasts from society’s margins ignited a pandemic-era music movement that challenged definitions of public space, rebellion, and the right to assemble. BEYOND THE STREETS presents the story of Dead City — raw, unfiltered, and as real as their shows.

We had the opportunity to produce an episode of @condenasttraveller’s Where Chefs Eat in Washington, DC, following Chef Michael Rafidi (@chefmichaelrafidi) as he shared the places, people, and flavors that have shaped his culinary journey.

We got to help bring it all together, from shaping the story, coordinating the production and spending the day chasing some seriously good food around DC.
