Is this one of the main-stars of X-Men ‘97 SE02? I am waiting (hoping) for the marvel legends figure to drop soon.

Here is my redesign of Greycrow, with @joserealart providing the colors.

In the Jamie-Verse, John Greycrow is among the deadliest hunters on Earth. A master tracker, marksman, and tactician, he turns every battlefield into his hunting ground by stacking every advantage in his favor.

Sinister saw him as the perfect hunter. Greycrow’s healing factor made him difficult to kill, while his technoformation allowed him to create the perfect weapon for any mission. More importantly, he always completed the mission. That made him indispensable to Sinister, earning his trust as Malice’s second-in-command.

During a battle with Revanche, everything changed. While trying to stop Greycrow psychically, she saw the man he had buried beneath decades of violence and chose to spare his life. Kwannon gave John a choice. He could embrace the better man she knew he was, or remain the cold-blooded killer he had become. John chose to remain with the Marauders because he couldn’t believe he deserved the gift Kwannon gave him.

Among the Marauders, he found a brother in Wild Child. Watching Sinister slowly strip away Kyle’s humanity deepened John’s contempt for Sinister. When the missions end and the campfire burns low, the two often sit together in silence, saying everything without speaking a word.

Before leaving home, John’s mother gave him a poncho in the colors of the Comanche Nation and asked him never to forget who he was or where he came from. Over time, he convinced himself he had broken that promise. Every tear is repaired by John’s own hand, as though letting go of the poncho meant letting go of her final words.

He kills when no other option exists. He will always complete the mission. He refuses to mistake success for needless death, but the world remembers him as a monster.

Yet Greycrow remembers every choice that created that monster. He is still rebuilding himself into the man his mother and Kwannon knew he was all along.

For Greycrow’s redesign, I wanted to keep him instantly recognizable while carrying the Comanche Nation’s colors across his belt and poncho. I also streamlined his cybernetic armor.

We love @joserealart’s classic monster depictions!
🦇
The poses, vibrant colors, detail, and clever designs of our favorite beasties here are so fun. Respectfully titled: The Monster, The Undead, The Lycanthrope, The Creature, The Bride, The Scientist, The Performer, The Bellringer, & The Mummy!

I even have four of his prints up on my monster wall! His online store is at the link in his bio.
