"A Pile of Smelly Shoes"

When I woke up on Friday morning I had a million things to do! We prepped for an Acro packed weekend. Our big end of the season recital plus 2 performances Saturday. I try to plan ahead and make sure all the kids have their stuff together before bed, but with all our crazy schedules, work, school, acro, it doesn't always happen. If nothing else I wanted all their shoes together so I could grab them and go.
When I looked at this pile Friday morning I had an epiphany, these are so much more than shoes! These shoes represent a huge part of our life. These shoes are a place that my kids have grown up in! These shoes remind me of a place that not only my children love, but that I do as well! I can not tell you how many people these shoes represent! The friendships that I have made all because of some shoes. People that love my children like they are their own. People who have shared so many amazing times with me and helped me through some very difficult ones! From performances, to moving, sick kids, birthdays, holidays, having babies, think and thin. These shoes are my village, my tribe. These shoes aren't just a gym, they're a family, and once you've worn these shoes, you will always be a part of this family! Thank you to all my beautiful friends who have been on this journey with us. As we move in to year number 7 with these shoes I'm so excited for what it will bring. A new season, new students, new friends and most importantly new memories! To all my @acrofitnessnc family your amazing and in the spirit of next seasons theme, "You've got a friend in me!" #acrofitnessnc #mooresvillenc #youvegotafriendinme #loveyourvillageloveyourtribe
