D1 Crybaby #graduation #hokage

To Zaniya 🕊️

I walked the stage and turned my tassel for the two of us on graduation day. You should’ve been there. You should’ve been at my house getting ready for graduation and taking pictures together, talking about how much we’ll miss each other when we go off to college.

I still remember your salt n’ vinegar chips song and the “Mc Mc McBites” song too. It sounds silly when I write it out—to ever think that a 2013 McDonald's commercial could hold sentimental value. But so does Alfredo, like the one we had on your birthday, and the stew peas you’d ask dad for 2 or 3 bowls of.

Remember when we would talk at 1 or 2 in the morning and try not to laugh too loud? Whe dad yelled, “What's going on in there!? Be quiet and go to sleep!” We’d only laugh harder. Or on the nights we were mad at each other, when the we pulled our sides of the blanket taut until one of us hogged the whole thing, and the other complained. When I sleep on that same bed, I still sleep on my side.

You would’ve been the best at your cosmetology school, I just know it. I wish you could be braiding my hair and doing my nails rn.

I hope you’re proud of me. Love you sis💗

To my friends:

I couldn’t have gone through school without all my day ones. Whether we just became friends last year or have been friends since elementary, I love you all so much and I hope I’ve been a great friend. I wish you all well and I’m keeping you in my prayers.
