Harvest Fest was a pretty good reminder that Fredericton’s music scene is very much alive and kicking. 🎶
A few familiar faces in the new issue of Soundcheck;
have you grabbed one yet? 👀

Free copies are at the usual spots around town. Read it, pass it along, leave it on your coffee table, accidentally take it home from someone else’s coffee table, whatever works.

And if you’re in the photos: tag yourself. 👇

Another epic @harvest_music_fest in the books. Four nights of good vibes, great music and more laughs then should be legal.
Highlights included watching my brother @will_p_freely play with my sister and kids; watching @officialgrahamnash sing Teach Your Children with my mom; watching @stephstringsmusic with my daughter this afternoon, and watching @sloanmusic with 75 coworkers.
I always love seeing the locals rocking Harvest and this year was as good an any for that. @mattandersenmusic, @rossneilsen and @__saturdayschild__ all laid it down Wednesday/Thursday then @the_hypochondriacs and @eltataylostaqueros_ did more of the same on Saturday.
For the big shows @drivebytruckers, @blackberrysmoke and @jjgreymusic delivered great sets. Graham Nash and @barenakedladiesmusic scratched the nostalgia itch very well. But, for me, the show of the festival was a powerhouse performance from @thebeachesband. They rocked and had the awesome young and energetic crowd eating out of the palm of their hands. Funnest show in a few years.
Sunday matinee with Steph Strings was the perfect weekend-ender. She was amazing, as was her opener @jocereyome.
Huge thanks as always to the festival organizers, volunteers, sponsors and patrons for keeping the best (not so) little festival in the East rocking year after year. Tank is empty, cup is full. #harvestfestival

@harvest_music_fest .. thank you so much for another fantastic year of music and the opportunity to share our music in our little home town of Fredericton. We had such an amazing night and we appreciate all of you who made it out to rock with us.

@mckenziewpower - you are an absolute beast and these photos are sick as hell.

We hope to see yall soon.

We wrote ‘Biggest Fan’ a year ago, about an older couple who lived a life on stage and then join “heaven’s greatest band”.

..and we will play it at Harvest Music Festival on Saturday, Sept. 19th at 2:30 in the Tannery! It’s a freebie!
