Another adventure for the ads! Tomorrow is the big day - @windupwatchfair Chicago begins! Still a lotta work to do… but the booth is coming together 💪🏼 As always, looking forward to seeing old friends, meeting new ones - and the craziness of the event 🤪

I love the new website… Besides keeping me better organized 🤓 it’s a way better experience for users 🙌🏼 There‘s more ads listed than ever before - always up to date and showing the exact ad you’d be getting 👌🏼 Plus, each day, “super descriptions” are being added to select ads. If you know me, you know I love rambling about these ads - they’re my babies! 😀 A goal of mine has always been to document my thoughts, experiences, and the history behind these ads. Now with the new website up and running - I can finally really do this! And… another goal of mine has always been to not do this alone. I’m thrilled to be putting together a small team of contributors - to help me write descriptions and ultimately share their unique passion for the ads 😍 If you haven’t checked out the site - have a look! Had a great weekend in LA, was even able to visit some family! Aunt Pat gave Bubba the winning washer from their final round game in the 2016 Carter family Olympics as good luck!

We looked good all weekend til we got dumped! On to Daytona!

⭐️ Incoming! 🌟 Very-excited to read this! 🤓 The title is so intriguing and right up my alley haha! One of my goals with Ad Patina is to learn about the history of watch advertising and share it. I want to be knowledgeable about the agencies, copywriters and artists. I want to know about the strategies of brands. And understand how magazines (and ads) were published and printed. Up to now I just haven’t been able to find the time to do this sort of research. The best education I’ve been able to offer is my personal experience hunting, handling, framing and selling these pieces of marketing history. I know this book will not only make me smarter about the world of advertising and careers of the creative people behind great ads and campaigns, but it will surely inspire me to dig for more information… My passion for the ads (along with my highlighter and pencil) are ready to dig into this resource! You can bet I’ll be conveying what I learn in the weeks to come. Thank You @katimepieces for working on this book 😌 It will surely make people love the ads more 😍 And it’ll definitely motivate me to do so much more with the ads.
