As promised, I stick to my word and traveled the 2 hour drive each way to catch my brother @acraze debut at hq2 beach club last Saturday in Atlantic City New Jersey. He never disappoints. Great seeing so many friends I haven’t seen in awhile too. @realtalentmgmt #nyc #housemusic #atlanticcity #fyp

BESTIES in BOSTON!!!

What an incredible trip to the East & a handful of firsts for me. Grateful to be working with a Beast media team while connecting with old & new friends during @bostonmarathon !

I do have to say, even though my body is no longer used to the east coast cold - being with everyone in the community filled me up with all the warmth I needed ❤️‍🔥

Thank you @heartbreak.bos 💔 @heartbreak.run
& @coachdanbos / @mister_wingman 🫶🏽

It’s never been about running.
It’s always been about the people and group.

So, thank you running for being rad and giving me these people. Happy Global Running Day🫶

Grateful for the best Boston Marathon weekend I’ve ever had and the people who make it possible, starting first with @omgal ❤️

Too many great photos to pull so this a small selection.

Thank you to the teams who make all these events even better than I imaged: @mister_wingman & @heartbreak.run squad, @nikerunning crew, & the community of people for whom we create all this. 🙏❤️

This weekend, I had the opportunity to travel to Boston for the Boston Marathon with @mikelee_productions .
Having worked with Mike countless times in the past couple of years, I’ve had my fair share of running related jobs.
Through Mike, I started to hear about Heartbreak Hill Running Co. They are who we worked with this weekend.

On the surface, they are a company that sells running apparel. When I went into this job, that is all I really expected. I was wrong.

Let me give some context to the above. The people running in these frames are 20 miles into their 26.2 mile race. Not only that, but they are on the infamous Heartbreak Hill, a modest but steady incline that takes quite a toll at a pretty brutal point in the race.
And yet, in these photos, you’ll see smiles, laughs, hugs. Triumphant faces, reinvigorated from a cheer zone outside of one of Heartbreak’s stores. They gather here every year to empower and embolden the runners. In the words of Justin Burdon, one of the cofounders, this is their Christmas.

The people in these photos cheering are a part of the Heartbreak and Boston community. This weekend, I watched as they all came together. I saw their faces at every event, every shakeout run, and on race day at Mile 20. They were ready, cheering, hugging, screaming words of encouragement, at every moment possible.

When it came to the “heart” behind Heartbreak, they didn’t miss a beat.

They didn’t show out for themselves, they didn’t show out for money. They showed out for the people next to them, and the people on the other side of the barrier running one of the hardest races on one of the hardest courses in the country.
For them this isn’t an obligation. It’s a feeling, a way of life.

They did it for community. They did it for the great sport of running. They did it for love.
What Dan and Justin have built here is clearly more than a store. They have built a community, an ethos. I watched Dan stand outside of the store from 10am until 3pm, until the last runners moved by, the thousands of spectators had come and gone, and he stood alone.

As it would turn out, “Heartbreak” is a whole lot more than a hill, or a place to buy running shoes. 💔

We call it “Mile 20” but it’s a feeling. ❤️
