This week’s TMT guest is an exec that’s really helping to shape the modern music industry. @soundonglobal Head of A&R (EMEA) @joshmateer has had a remarkable journey through the music industry; from promoting shows while still at school/uni, via major label stints at Sony and Warner Music, where he helped pioneer the use of data in A&R. He has fascinating insight into how to best use that data in 2025, how to make the most of TikTok and what it takes to break an act in the modern era – plus what it was like to be Seymour Stein’s assistant. Tune in!
