An incredible journey into the puppet world, a new family from Shank's Mare. For ten days we worked together until finally we performed at @pesta_boneka . Seriously, this is an amazing collaboration thanks to @tlee668 and mbak @riapapermoon , thankyou thank you very much for this valuable opportunity. Take a deep breath after this program is finished to prepare yourself because there will be a heavy longing afterward.
I usually watch bunraku or kuruma ningyo players on YouTube. And finally being able to play with sensei (Nishikawa Koryu) in person was truly incredible.

"The newest rising star in the finger lakes!"
Shake on the Lake?! No, it's @hillickandhobbs , according to @wine_spectator ! Luckily, we are combining the region's most fun outdoor Shakespeare with some delicious vino TONIGHT -- you really can have it all. 🍷🎭🍷🎭🍷

With only five actors bringing the story's colorful cast to life, The Comedy of Errors is a fast-paced romp filled with slapstick, heart, and nonstop laughs as everyone races to untangle a simple case of mistaken identity before it's too late.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
🥁Pre-Show Music starts 30 mins before showtime

💫Running Time: Approx. 90 minutes with no intermission

❤️Appropriate for all audiences

🧺Although selected venues provide chairs, we suggest you bring your own lawn chairs (or blankets).

☔All venues have a rain venue that are listed on the Shake Website. Please reserve a ticket to be the up-to-date with rain/weather announcements.

Collaboration is big part of any artistic endeavor. You have to be willing to trust others with your idea in its infancy, to help you bring it to life. You have to be open to others ideas and input. Last night collaboration and trust had me sitting next to a visitor from Utica (who came because he had visited the @artscouncilforwyomingcounty and they suggested he continue on his accidental puppet journey) listening to artists talk about everything from a 250 year old form of pure storytelling from Japan, to the length of time from thought to stage. Artists from all around the WORLD. Here. In my tiny town. Y'all. Sometimes my feelings leak out my eyeballs, and last night was one of those times. I'm so proud of these lil chats. Thank you all so much. @joshriceprojects theres a reason you're my Fave. Thank you for facilitating the conversation in a new way. Thank you for bringing @nyspuppetfestival to Perry. Go see a show and come drink beer! ❤️
