Liverpool’s academy has been quietly building something. Five players, all born between 2010 and 2012, already making noise at U18 and Youth League level.

Eden started the Youth League against Atletico at 15. Abe put up eight goals and three assists for the U18 before injury ended his season early at 15. Mfunyi was voted best defender at the Virgil’s Legacy Trophy. At 14. Aresin is being chased by both Spain and England before he even turns 15. And Coxon is already finding the net against older opposition.

(Also, sorry to anyone whose name I butchered in the video. Some of these were a challenge.)

Liverpool are not waiting for this generation. And neither should you.

Which one are you most excited about?

🚨 ABE UNDERGOES SHOULDER SURGERY

Liverpool youngster Josh Abe has undergone surgery on a shoulder problem after reportedly suffering from repeated dislocations.

The highly-rated winger featured for the first team during pre-season, but his progress will now temporarily be put on hold while he begins his rehabilitation. 🔴

Wishing Josh a speedy recovery! ❤️‍🩹

THE EXTRA WORK TO GET AHEAD 📈

The Off-Season & Pre-Season work was PHYSICALLY DEMANDING for all players. For some already , their bodies will have broken down from not being able to handle the demands.

Season is underway now and all players are fit after the past 8/9 weeks of work. But that doesn’t mean the extra work stops. If anything it’s lock in time more than ever 🧠

As always, players will revert back to type when they have the choice. They become lazier in their habits and excuses are ready made. Convince themselves they’ve done enough.

Having a coach means you take the thinking away. At this stage of the season it’s about freshness and maintaining strength, being mobile, recovering optimally and getting through the 1st 5/6 games at a high level.

As the season progresses you’ll go through stages where you can ramp up the work. The leg power, speed, explosiveness. Coz when you don’t use it. You’ll eventually lose it. You got to keep your body ready to perform always over the next 40 weeks.

If you want to work together this season drop me a message & let’s get to the proper work. Details matter 🧠📈💪🏻

16 year-old winger Joshua Abe scored on his Liverpool U21s debut yesterday.😳⚽️

Abe came on and scored in a pre-season friendly against Huddersfield Town, which Liverpool U21s drew 2-2.✅

Just two weeks ago, Abe made his first-team debut for Liverpool against Sunderland - the week before that he turned 16 years old.😅

One of the most talented young players in the country - what a talent Liverpool have got on their hands.🤩👏
