Up 10 mph in 3 months on his pulldown. Mound velo has climbed 4 mph in the last month. He’s now sitting higher than his peak was over the summer. We’re working on shortening his arm action and staying connected longer through stride. And the results are really showing.

@kylejguillot has worked really hard the last few months on improving his overall strength and allowing that to feed into his delivery. His stability, direction and ability to drive through the baseball has increased his command, stuff and velocity here in the last few months.

Will be a dominant lefty for Iowa Colony HS this spring.

Proud Dad post! 🚨

Parker (@pz30hoops) has on only played baseball for now 13 months. So proud of his hard work and growth in the last few months. He’s loving baseball, and he’s continuing to get better every time out. Struck out 7 batters in a row, and 9 total, with only 1 walk and 2 singles. Over 4 innings.

He’s also leading his team in average, hits, home runs, and second in RBIs Runs and stolen bases. And he’s scored 3 of his teams last 4 runs and is driving the ball well. Wonky swing. But he hits it!

Proud dad, post. Back to scheduled posting tomorrow!

One of the most common leaks we see in pitchers: the hips and torso open together and too early. When an athlete can’t stay sideways and hold counter-rotation, he loses hip and shoulder separation, the front leg goes soft and velocity leaks out.

Step 1: Find the leak
Every athlete starts with an assessment. We watch the delivery, look at the data and find where energy is being lost. We don’t guess. We go by what we see in the delivery and the numbers.

Step 2: Take the problem out of the delivery
We don’t start by fixing it on the mound. We take the movement out of the delivery and train it on its own.

🔹 Half-kneeling med ball rotational throws: We take the legs out so the athlete can feel the torso wind up, hold and release.
🔹 Overhead start med ball throws: He loads into the back hip and stays sideways longer. Chest stays closed while the hips start working.
🔹 Full-delivery med ball throws: Leg lift, stride and throw. He keeps the counter-rotation while moving down the mound, so the hips fire first and the torso follows.

Step 3: Put it back in the delivery
First comes an overhead delivery, then the full delivery on the mound. Same feel, real throws.

Step 4: Brace the front side
When the hips fire on time, the lead leg finally has a chance to brace and block. That firm front side is what sends energy up the chain and into the ball.

Why a 2lb med ball? 🤔
Heavier isn’t better here. With a ball that’s too heavy, athletes muscle it, cut their rotation short and lose the timing we’re trying to build. A 2lb ball moves at close to throwing speed, so the pattern carries over to the mound. It’s still heavy enough to give feedback when the hips and torso are out of sync. We’re training speed and sequencing, not strength.

The chain reaction:
✅ Stay sideways longer, so you get more counter-rotation
✅ More counter-rotation gives you more separation
✅ Hips fire on time, so the lead leg can brace
✅ A firm front side means more energy goes into the ball

Every athlete’s leak is different, but the process is the same. Find it, isolate it, train it and put it back together. 💪

2027 RHP @estrada_adrian5 for @pearlandbaseball and @hunterpencebaseball has been crushing his work this fall.

Adrian Creates some really extreme angles in his delivery. Longer separation, deep hinge, but he is able to be on time at ball release and he spin the ball really well to beat guys in the zone with 4 legit pitches. Just now starting to scratch the surface on his velocity. Up to 88 yesterday at WWBA in Jupiter and expecting to see some 90+s this spring!!

Thrilled to get @not_david2224 back at the Farm this morning for his pre Jupiter bullpen. Has been putting in big time work with @tbsbaseball_houston this fall and it’s showing. Will be an exciting outing at the WWBA this week. He’s on pace for some PRs in the zone.

Todays pen:
FB 88-91 w 19-22” VB x 7” HB
CB- 70-75 w -15” Vb x 6” -HB

Kid can pitch. Expecting massive things from David this spring at TBS and next year @bearkatsbsb

2029 RHP/CF/SS Corbin Bryant @cbryant.11 from @laportehighschoolbaseball got to work on his post-assessment throwing progression this weekend.

Corbin is able to create some serious angles with his leg lift and glove side thanks to elite mobility and athleticism. That’s part of how he moves and we’re going to build on that.

Two constraints we implemented for early feel work gave great feedback:

⚾ A 1–2 lb plyo in the glove hand helped him stay connected through the stride and control how the glove side moved into release.

⚾ A short hurdle helped him find the direction and timing of his lead leg brace.

The early takeaway: smoother movement into release, with Corbin reaching his game velocity during drill work at 75% of his in game effort.

That’s the goal of our assessment process: identify every athletes inefficiencies: mobility, strength, movement quality during the throw, movement quality on the mound, endurance, throwing programming and workload or any number of other factors, and attack it right away with proper programming and coaching.

@grant.shepherd26 with the dominant outing @fivetooljuco showcase in Melissa today. Not many better “pitchers” out there.

Can move the ball in and out and mix 4 legitimate pitches. Worked his tail off this summer and will be up to 90 in the spring, no doubt about it.

@noah.walls88 with the big time PR tonight for the 2028 @dawsoneaglebaseball RHP/OF. Never content. Keep knocking down goals and setting new ones!

@kaidenscaillet 2028 LHP/1B from @dawsoneaglebaseball making some serious gains early in the fall. Focus is now on adding size and strength this to go along with his improved arm action/ scap load at footplant and his ability to get forward at ball release. Struggled in the past with opening too early and creating too much tilt at ball release. Really cleaning that up and the proof is now visible.keep up the great work!!
