You go before me and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too great for me to understand!

I can never escape from your Spirit!
I can never get away from your presence!

If I go up to heaven, you are there;
if I go down to the grave, you are there.

If I ride the wings of the morning,
if I dwell by the farthest oceans,

even there your hand will guide me,
and your strength will support me.

Psalm 139:5-10

"The grass withers and the flowers fade
beneath the breath of the Lord.
And so it is with people.

The grass withers and the flowers fade,
but the word of our God stands forever.”

O Zion, messenger of good news,
    shout from the mountaintops!
Shout it louder, O Jerusalem.
Shout, and do not be afraid.
Tell the towns of Judah,
    “Your God is coming!”

Yes, the Sovereign Lord is coming in power.
He will rule with a powerful arm.
See, he brings his reward with him as he comes.

He will feed his flock like a shepherd.
He will carry the lambs in his arms,
holding them close to his heart.
He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young."

Isaiah 40:7-11

I had the opportunity to participate in this drill, and I’m really grateful for the experience. I’m also glad I was able to capture such an incredible experience on board.

Verse of the Day:
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”
— Luke 16:10 (NIV)

This video was filmed off the coast of Trinidad during a man overboard drill. The imagery immediately reminded me of Isaiah 43:2:

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.”
