Monthly R&B Favorites (August) / Cover: @keanurichal

August came through with an unreal amount of fire releases. @partynextdoor celebrated 10 years of P3 with an anniversary edition featuring fan favorite Some of Your Love, while @brentfaiyaz blessed us with the director’s cut of Icon, including my personal favorite, fallin’. @itskalejoseph kept his run going with the fire LOSSES, while @mazb11 brought bossa nova into the R&B mix with Coast To Coast. @therealartiej delivered another dark R&B banger with Models & Bottles, and @keanurichal and @a.v.i.r.o.y teamed up for off the bus, with both artists stepping into a fresher, more alternative R&B sound.

But that’s not all—so I’ve curated my 32 favorite R&B releases from August just for you.

The full list features some of the finest new R&B out right now, spanning dark R&B, alternative R&B, contemporary R&B, and more. You can find everything in the “why R&B matters” playlists. Link in bio.

Monthly R&B Favorites (February) / Cover: @alanvuong_

Only the second month of 2026, and it’s already starting to feel like 2016 all over again when it comes to the quality of releases. @brentfaiyaz finally delivered his long-awaited album Icon—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Toronto’s @raahiimmusic followed with PRAY FOR ME, a project that’s already making waves across the R&B scene.
@alanvuong_ returned with the beautiful, smooth 1 OF 1 (SIDE B), while @1mcortex kept his impressive run going with another standout single, Days Are Over. One of my personal highlights this month has to be @kwnway’s hopeless romantic—a truly beautiful record. @mazb11 also came through with a two-track drop, with Forgive Me being the one that stuck with me the most, and @ferinamusic added a more emotional touch with Past Life.

But that’s not all—so I’ve curated my 30 favorite R&B releases from February just for you.
