Last week, I had the privilege and honor of attending one of the most impactful conferences of my life.

It was truly special and fruitful to develop meaningful relationships throughout it all. I deeply respect all of the mentors, staff, and the people who operated in the background. They made it their mission to organize and ensure everyone obtained valuable information and connections, not only for the scholars’ benefit, but to the benefit of those around them. This coincides with one of HSF’s core values: paying it forward and paying it back.

HSF saw my and others’ ability to establish a new Latino narrative, to push the boundaries of what is and what can be achieved for our communities.

I don’t think I’ll ever forget my time at the conference, for it gave me the chance to forge connections and learn new things. In the words of my wise mentor: “When you get to that 100%, don’t stop; go for that 200, 300%, for that extra effort is what sticks out the most”

PS, I HAD A LITTLE TOO MUCH FUN😭
