Every Saturday at @lovatobjjmma has looked like this for nearly three decades 🔥🔥🔥

Since I was 15yrs old & competing regularly I started a competition training practice that I would run at our academy in Oklahoma City. I wanted to work hard & dedicate myself to my preparation so I recruited as many students as I could to come in to scrap & do lots of physical training & conditioning. I was only a teenager but I was the leader of the group which was all adults. Now, here I am almost 30yrs later & nothing has changed… 💪🥋♾️

Of course these days I am much more strategic & intelligent with my approach especially since the majority of the guys in there are 30yrs plus, but the goal is still the same, push yourself to your limits not just for the physical & the technical but to develop the strongest mind possible & tap into your purpose & potential 🧠❤️‍🔥

It always happens that while I’m leading everyone else, I’m also preparing for my own individual challenges. I will regularly lead competition training for my Gi competitors, professional MMA fighters, & also run my own intense practice at the same time for professional grappling. It can be exhausting to push myself so hard & also have the energy to lead, teach, & motivate everyone else but I wouldn’t have it any other way 💯

In this practice from a couple of weeks ago I am training for my @onechampionship match, helping @felipecostajj prepare for @adccworld, & getting my team ready for @ibjjf Master Worlds all in the same session…

I am excited to be here in Thailand about to compete, but I am sad to not be with my @lovatojjassociation team in Vegas for Masters. It feels a little weird to not be there, but I am hoping we can inspire each other from afar with our performances.

Sending my love & warrior spirit to all my students & affiliate instructors around the world who are going to battle in Vegas! Let’s go!!! 🔥🔥🔥
