POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love From Christmas Tree Farm by Jo Thomas, published on 22nd October 2026 with Pan Macmillan.

I was not prepared for how much this book was going to make me feel!

Widowed Gwen has spent years building her life and her beloved Christmas tree farm, but with her husband Paddy gone she is ready to move on - until nine year old Willow unexpectedly arrives on her doorstep changing everything. What follows is the most gorgeous story about community, belonging and the unexpected ways love finds us when we least expect it.

What I love about this one is how quietly beautiful it is - there are no big dramatic moments or shocking twists, just a wonderfully written story that gradually fills your heart right up without you even realising it is happening. It made me hug my own young son even tighter after finishing it 💙

The Welsh countryside setting is just stunning and Jo Thomas brings it to life in the most magical way.

The perfect antidote to the chaos of everyday life and an absolute must for your festive reading list this year - cosy, heartwarming and just completely lovely from start to finish!

Out 22nd October 🗓️

❄️ Publishing 22/10
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Star Read

It’s the most magical time of the year... Curl up with Love from the Christmas Tree Farm, the perfectly cosy festive romance from Jo Thomas, beloved and bestselling author of Escape to the French Farmhouse. Gwen has lived at Christmas Tree Farm for many years. It’s where she’s built a life, a business and a place to call home. But after her beloved husband Paddy dies, it’s time to downsize and move on. But when nine-year-old Willow, a distant relative of Paddy’s, arrives on her doorstep in urgent need of a place to stay, everything changes. And now, with the purchase of her new property falling through, Gwen needs to make some money, and fast. With the help of Willow, his mum’s friend Horse, and Lara the social worker, she reopens her business selling Christmas trees for one last season. But with the mega-corporate Christmas Tree World as new neighbours, can her tranquil offering tempt the customers in? This will be her last Christmas at her beloved farm. But endings can become beginnings, and could love, friendship and a sense of belonging flourish here ... ?

ARC REVIEW:

Summer at the French bakery by @jothomasauthor is a beautifully written feel good book. It is centered around a woman named Juliet and how she embarks on her journey of self discovery. The whole book is from her POV. I would say that the protagonist was brave and it takes a lot of courage to do something challenging while taking all the risk. Juliet was unapologetic and I just love when women are portrayed and written in such an amazing way. Right from the beginning, she knew what was missing from her life and was ready to discover and love herself. She just wanted to be 'Juliet' and she did it in her own way.

The setup of the small town in France and the history behind the bakery and the mill was fascinating to read. It was challenging for Juliet to build her own self in this town and I loved reading the whole journey of how she faced each and everything with a lot of grace. The whole process of making baguettes and how Juliet learned each and everything was heartwarming to read. At the age of 47,it felt like she was just starting her adventure and was passionate about her dreams.

The character of Laurent and Madame B made this story more interesting.I loved how they worked like a team with Juliet. Madame B was an adorable character and a great mentor to Juliet. The friendship between Juliet and Laurent was beautiful and I loved reading their relationship growth. This book explored themes of community and belonging. I loved reading about the revival of the small town tradition.

The friendship between Annie and Juliet was emotional to read. Juliet had amazing children who supported her decision of self discovery and understood her POV. I feel people going through an existential crisis should definitely read this book. I hope the story of Juliet inspires many women out there who want to start their life fresh and want to do something for themselves.

P.S. I loved the reference of Dolly parton in the book. It was beautiful 😍

Thank you Jo Thomas, Pan macmillan and Netgalley for the ARC!!

• Bokrecension •
