‎Winnie the Pooh or Nalle Puh as he is called in Swedish, turns 100 today. So I was 1 day ahead of myself here but of course I had to do a Pooh spread after hearing , 3 days ago, HRM Queen Camilla speak of how her grandmother read Winnie the Pooh to her grandchildren and let them play Pooh sticks at the bottom of her garden where she had a stream and a bridge.

‎How very idyllic. But it also made me start thinking of how important us parents and grandparents are when it comes to books and reading. We have a responsibility to introduce our children and grandchildren to good books but most of all to reading. To show the joy of it and to open their minds to new worlds.

‎I think about my own childhood. My parents did not read to me. They were avid book readers but did not really read to us children. The only book series my mum ever recommended to me was "Kulla Gulla" which she had read herself. About a mistreated orphan who stays sweet through everything and gets a happy ending.

‎When we at a library visit looked at books and I asked her if I should read "Anne of Greengables", she said "No, very boring book". 😱 So not until I was well over 20 years old, did I discover Prince Edward Island and the world of Anne.

‎With all book banning going on and destruction of books by google etc, it becomes more important than ever to get our children to read. Get them off the mobile phones and computers and on to turning book pages that leads to adventures and travel of the mind.

Really thankfull for all the amazing take a note orders! Packing them made me think about my own tooo. Might decide to add A5 TAN to the line-up but not sure yet :)

The Kaku from @kolourcafe is mainly an undated notebook but the first 12 spreads are monthlies. I did not know what to do with them so I decided to use them for weather documenting. As I am in southern Sweden, I suspect that there will be a lot of grey clouds the next coming months. Since I do not want identical images, I am trying to create variation.

Today it is grey and very windy. On my morning walk I had hair blowing in my face the entire time, the dog walkers were absent and I deeply regretted wearing just a T-shirt dress, jeans jacket and no socks. It was very chilly! I guess I will have to pack away summer this week end and bring out the autumn/winter clothes.😪 I really am a Moomin troll. I need to eat some pine needles and go to sleep till Snufkin arrives with spring!!!!

Thank you Natasja for wrapping my stickers with such a gorgeous washi tape! I pulled the pieces off the silk paper carefully so I could match them with my teddy bears on this spread. (Love the teddies so much that I went a little bit overboard.)

Somewhat upset with this spread. I have misplaced my dark green gel pen and I thought another pen would do and be the colour of the casing. I wrote in semi-darkness and noticed the mistake too late. But what is done is done.

Trying to catch up in my journal since one son had milk teeth removed (he is 20) and has been in terrible pain since then. We have tried to distract him with re-watching a couple of "Badehotellet" seasons. He loves the series a lot!!!! Nothing else got done. Of course several of us had to join him. But bonding time is more important than anything else.

As our trip is coming this month, I thought about sharing with you the journaling supplies I'm planning to bring with me.

I know I'll find and buy SO MANY THINGS over there, nonetheless, I want to bring the essentials so I still have the minimum with me ♥︎

First, my Traveler's Notebook. It's the passport size in camel. The insert you can see here in the video will stay at home and be replaced by the one I prepared in the next video.

There is also the bingo card I prepared in advance and some washis I put on a ARMY membership card.

I emptied all the small pockets so I have room for tickets and things to collect and use later on the pages.

Here's the insert. I pre-decorated it with my favorite stamps so I don't have to bring the big stamps with me.

I'll bring everything in this Soolla pouch. It's the cinnamon color and I customized it with a small Calcifer 🔥

I also prepared some stamps and little pieces lf paper to glue in the journal (same idea : save space by stamping on paper and cutting in advance).

I'll also bring the cutting/writing mat.

Here's the pens and pencils I'll bring. Only the essentials.

Ruler, eraser, glue and stapler. Everything in mini format to save space 🥰

I love tiny things 🤏🏻

The ruler is also usefull to cut things (I can't take my scissors in this pouch so it will do the job perfectly).

My new Trodat stamp to write date, places and names. It brings some cool effect on the pages.

Small stars buttons stamps, very practical, the 2 ink pads in mini version and all the mini wooden stamps to decorate (even if I KNOW I'll come back with wayyyy more)

My 2 stickers notebooks from Traveler's Notebook. How happy I am that I discovered these !!! It's sooooo cool and practical.

Everything (except the notebooks) fits in the pouch. I even have some space left !!

Been in an Egyptian mode for a while. So yesterday I pulled out anything and everything Egyptian, especially with cats, because everyone's Halloween black cat decorations make me think of Egypt and not Halloween.😂 Did you know that around 1000 B.C. the goddesses of Egypt got their heads changed from lion heads to cat heads? That it was a crime to kill a cat? And that warriors showed reverence and respect towards cats? Cats were considered to heal humans because they were thought to be representatives of the sun, which gives life.

Nothing better than a cat stroking his face against yours and putting his wet nose on yours! They are little emotional healers!
