Three Paralympians (Aussie Belles). Three mums. Three outstanding role models - Meica Horsburgh, Nicole Esdaile and Brodie Benson competed at the Australian Goalball Championships alongside some of our other current Belles in Melbourne last week, proving that motherhood and elite sport can go hand in hand. Thank you for inspiring the next generation of girls in sport! 💚💛

It’s time for our second shorts collab for summer 2026/27 with DUG DownUnder Grass Volleyball!

DUG have come up with a very AUSSIE themed look. It’s sure to be popular with anyone planning to travel or keen to represent Aust.

All funds raised will go towards developing and running DUG volleyballs first youth grass cup in partnership with Volleyball NSW.

The aim is to provide kids a fun, accessible way into volleyball, and to give the wider community a reason to get out on the grass this summer!

Thanks to everyone who supported Matt Gigliotti on collab one. Matt managed to raise a bit over $1000 to go towards travel and entry fees this season.

Available now at www.avw.net.au

Over the weekend we held our NSWGB Social Day at @iflyoz in Penrith and tried out some indoor skydiving!! 🩵

Our members and friends had a blast getting in the tunnel, many of them even testing their nerves flying high with the instructor to the top of the tunnel! A huge thank you to the iFly instructors on working hard to make sure our vision impaired members felt comfortable and ready!

After our adrenaline junkies finished up at iFly, we headed over to @penrithpanthers club for a tasty pub feed as reward for being such dare devils! 🙌

Thank you to all members for coming along to our super fun day, and for our NSWGB Board members for organising the event! 😊

PD:
1. Group 1 suited up and ready to fly!
2. Jess floating in the tunnel with instructor

Another fantastic year participating in the AUSParalympics Para Tough Cup, and showcasing our fantastic sport as one of many awesome Para Sporting options! 💛💚

Our participants had a go at learning the basics of goalball including defensive and throwing techniques, movement and orientation skills, and on-court communication! 😁 Most importantly, they all had a blast and bonded over their new love of goalball.

A huge thank you goes out to our wonderful NSWGB Volunteers who supported with running this event. We wouldn’t be able to show our sport to the world without your help! 💪

Until next year…!

Volleyball Victoria is pleased to announce the renewal of its long-standing partnerships with Joust Sports and Australian Volleyball Warehouse (AVW) for the 2026–2028 period.

The renewed agreements continue a relationship built over many years of supporting Victorian volleyball. Joust will remain the exclusive apparel supplier for Volleyball Victoria’s indoor and beach State Teams, delivering a uniquely designed range for athletes, coaches and team personnel. AVW will continue to support Volleyball Victoria events and recognition programs, including the Country Championships, Victorian Volleyball League Awards and the State Team Blue & White Jacket Dinner.

The partnership also strengthens the connection between Victoria’s performance pathways and two brands with deep roots in the local volleyball community.

“I am delighted to renew our partnership with Joust Sports and Australian Volleyball Warehouse—great Melbourne-based brands that have shown genuine passion for delivering for the volleyball community over many years,” Volleyball Victoria CEO Kylie Bloodworth said.

“I am especially excited about the new look our Victorian State Teams will be wearing, both out on court and on the sidelines, at the Australian Youth Volleyball Championships in Perth in a couple of weeks’ time. Our athletes, coaches and support staff will represent Victoria with pride in apparel designed specifically for them.”

The renewed arrangements will see Volleyball Victoria and Joust collaborate on State Team apparel design, ordering and fulfilment, while AVW continues to engage with and reward participants across key Volleyball Victoria competitions and events.

SHANE PURVIS - Managing Director of Joust Sports and Australian Volleyball Warehouse:

“Being a company born and bred on the volleyball courts of Victoria it gives us an immense sense of pride every time a Vic state team walks on court in our uniforms. Almost every member of our current and past staff have been athletes and/or coaches in Vic state teams over the last 30 years. For us it’s great to remain part of that team and to contribute to its success any way we can.”
