one degree hotter 👩🏽‍🎓

I’ve always dreamt of studying in England (been saying that since I was 10 years old), so completing my degree is not only gratifying now but also a dream come true for young Ritinha!

And wow, how I’ve changed over the past 4 years (or how they’ve changed me?)! When 18-year-old me moved to the UK, I had a lot of dreams and the naive certainty of things that life has its way of erasing. 22-year-old Rita who just graduated has more questions, but the same willpower and ambition.

I didn’t have the typical uni experience, but I had amazing adventures, made friends I wouldn’t trade for the world and met professors who changed my perspective. Big thanks to my family too - because life is lighter knowing they’ll always support and love me!

My uni years brought immense personal growth and a continuous journey of self-discovery. And this graduation comes with the realisation that I’ve become an adult.

It’s time to fly 🦋
