Santa Rita Park Grand Opening today from 5-8 p.m.!

In terms of the skate park, Councilmember Barajas said there are plans to renovate and even expand it, but funding for those projects has not yet been secured.

This is a controversial question but… what do you think about the park?

There is also a mini bike path going around the park that I tried out… video coming soon but let’s just say 🧈

We broke ground!!! The skatepark is officially coming to Tucson this DECEMBER 2026!! We have a date of completion!!! Finally 😭😭😭

In a time where Tucson is getting hotter and hotter, having this shaded skatepark will mean everything! I am so happy @tucsonrollercollective got to be a part of this special moment, and I hope to share a many skate videos from this park come the new year ❤️❤️ #letsgobecivicallyengaged 😛

A big thank you to Caleb Gutierrez, founder of @cushingstreetskatepark for never giving up, always pushing for more and giving back to a community that will appreciate this park for decades to come.

Another thank you to the City of Tucson and ADOT, for being open to a project like this and (eventually) allowing it to come to fruition.
