A huge thanks to so many of you for listening and commenting over the last week.💕Also a big shout out to the artist labels, shops and buyers who made it possible, @justgoahead for editing my written words before publication, and @octoocta for endless support.

🌟SAVE THE DATE🌟

Discothèque is back in full effect with an entire lineup meticulously arranged to be an experience from start to finish! ❤️🪩

@direct.deposit b2b @djdairyfree
Big drip mode and lactose free dance discs engaged all the way through to make you move and groove. These Wax When You Want representatives are always so much fun to hear on their own but having them b2b is playfulness brought to another level. Their sets are rarely one note, as they seamlessly weave in the most obscure sub-genres, which can easily range from left-field house to breaks, electro, hard-groove and trance.

@joycethurlow
One of our city’s most elusive DJs and producers, he has been releasing music for ten years, often utilizing found sound, field recordings, and samples from his environment, such as Vancouver or Berlin. With contributions to compilations on the Vancouver-based label Ambient Assistance and releases with the Montreal-based label NAFF, you can expect to hear aerial hypno grooves, techno and trance rarities, along with plenty of euphoric peak-time delights.

@elsa_djdood
Focused on creating a soundscape that encourages people to connect both with each other and the audio, their selections evoke feeling with a classic groovy bassline and the tones of hip hop, RnB, jazz and disco that float over their selections of house, deep house and techno.

@chloeerepka b2b @harrisonmar

As every year we select our favorite music, so these are the records that made an incredible year 2023 for us !

We gratefully thank all those who have collaborated with our project. Special thanks to you who listen to us and read our blog, without you none of this would be possible.

There’s so much music that we’ve probably forgotten about or haven’t discovered yet or maybe it’s coming out next week ! What record would you add to our list? Link in bio 🔝

Love you ♥︎♥︎♥︎

Hello everyone… just a quick post to mention we have started a blog to share music, interviews and whatever other random nonsense we feel like rambling on about.

Kicking things off, we have volume 1 of desert island digs, a series where our residents share tunes they have been enjoying recently. We’ll try and update this regularly going forwards - The link to that is in the usual spot… 💣

On a side note, it’s already looking like our second bday is going to be a busy one 🥳 tickets to that can also be found in our bio, get them whilst they are cheap and still knocking about !

See ya soon,
LIGHTSPEED x
