It’s been an incredible first year in business and I’m overwhelmed with the support I’ve received from so many people. I’ve had the pleasure of making quite a few custom projects for people as well as exploring a wide variety of woods. I was also privileged to work on some amazing collaborations with @joydesign.us and a small business exchange with @saricastudio and @sam_inthestudio!! Here are some of my favorite things I’ve made this year. Wishing you all a happy 2026!

All in one place.

I just wanted to get the three of these @tag_stationery_store inks on the same page, but it took some doing. I picked up samples of @kyonooto Hisoku and Seiheiki from the wonderful @m.lovewell last month, but my 10 mL sample of Urahairo (purchased from a Reddit pen friend) was delayed in the mail.

By the time it arrived, I was embarking on my own personal tour with the 24 Nagasawa Kobe ink samples and had a little catching up to do with other things I’d been waiting to share.

Don’t these look lovely together? I do notice that these inks have a unique texture that results in a slightly mottled, darker look where the ink pools. In testing, they are slightly dry, except the Seiheiki which was a bit wetter and showed a fair bit of spread. All three of these colors are very soothing.

Do you have a favorite here? Have you tried them in pens?

Pens: glass rod, Sailor fude and medium Hocoro dip pens
Paper: TRP 68

What a great weekend at the @sfpenshow ! Nothing beats finally meetings friends in real life and seeing “old” friends again.

Judging through my pictures, this was a weekend of burgers 🍔. My airport one was a beyond burger but still alright.

I didn’t have much time for shopping but I did manage to snag a pen and a couple of totes 👜. Here are very few pictures of my weekend. These selfies with friends were the ones I took with my phone so I’m sorry if I don’t have one taken with yours.

My Amarillo heart is full. Thank you so very much for allowing space for my little shop to exist. Until next time. 💛

Unboxing the Nanairo Ink Sample Holder 🌈✨
The Nanairo is a collaboration between Nagomi Woodworking and designer Jenn Smith. It’s my second piece from Nagomi (the first was a pen tray), and the quality is just as beautiful. They’re so thoughtful — even sending a picture before shipping.

I chose the walnut flared base, and it’s already bringing beauty + function to my desk. I filled it with ink samples and swatched them on Col-o-ring cards. Swatching ink has always been a relaxing ritual for me, and now it feels even more special with a handcrafted piece like this.

Wow wow wow is all I can say 🤩. @joydesign.us and @nagomiwoodworking’s new collab on sample holders is amazing!! It’s both beautiful and very functional, I can’t wait to use this at the pen show this week!!! This canarywood is too pretty, it’s going yo look great next to my wood pens.

I’m so excited at this collaboration with @joydesign.us. Not only did we create something extremely practical and useful for all of you ink sample addicts out there (ourselves included!!), we also think we managed to create a thing of beauty. The simplicity of the holder brings an elegance to your desk, and hopefully a smile to your face.

These will be available in two styles - straight sides and flared. They will also be available in a variety of woods - walnut, cherry, maple, figured walnut, canarywood, and whatever else I might find :)

Very limited preorders will be be available Friday, 8/8/25 at 8:00 PST at www.nagomiwoodworking.com.

Had a great time with @joydesign.us swatching her ink colors & I got to try the newest color that’s currently trending.

I also finished my sketchbook! Hooray 🙌 to starting my next chapter.

Which is your favorite color?
