Since I post on the grid once in a blue moon, today felt fitting.

May arrived carrying lessons disguised as ordinary things.

A Mother’s Day brunch and a tiny teacher determined to test my patience and ability to laugh when the script falls apart. The photo survived. So did we.

A birthday passed.. One more ring in the tree. One more turn of the wheel. My breath has found me again. The urge to create over consume is prevalent. My compass needle has returned to center.

Then one beautiful evening of loud music and old friendship. The kind of medicine that reminds you that tending others and tending yourself are not opposing forces. A recalibration.

The older I get, the more convinced I am that balance isn’t standing still in the middle. It’s dancing between devotion and freedom without abandoning either.

I held her when she was just six pounds at her newborn shoot 📷….
Now she riding through wildflowers on her sweet pony with the sun bursting through the whole moment 🌞✨her mama and I just watched in awe as the shoot unfolded just like we have done before.

17 years of freezing time for families… and somehow these full-circle moments still undo me. ✨🐎
