"All At Once" PT.2 by the @thecreatorwill I want to start by saying that this project was completely spontaneous. I came to New York only wanting to take photos of the people I had already agreed to shoot. But as I walked the streets of New York, things changed drastically. I immediately knew I wanted more of a challenge. I wanted to leave New York with something memorable, something I had never done before. So, I challenged myself to take a photo of every person I found interesting enough to approach and ask for a photo. I also asked each person for their autograph and, if there was time, stayed to have a conversation with them afterward. But one thing I learned while leaving New York this year was that everyone seemed to be in a rush. Whether they were rushing to the next event, chasing a dream, or simply trying to make it back home, everyone seemed to be moving toward something. With that being said, these photos represent a pause in time, a moment away from the constant rushing and chasing. Even during the short time I was there, I found myself caught up in that same feeling. I felt as though time was running out and that I needed to accomplish everything before I left. In reality, all I needed to do was pause. Throughout this project, I captured love, passion, confidence, dedication, restlessness, and delusion, qualities that I believe exist within many New Yorkers. I think each of these emotions, in their own way, is beautiful. And as someone who is also chasing something, I recognize these emotions within myself. All things considered, I loved talking to each and every one of you and! hope whatever you are chasing, you catch up to it and hold on forever.
