Oh my goodness, did we have a fun family-friendly reception over the weekend!!! Thank you to all the folks who came out! It’s a joy to exhibit alongside these powerful women and have the chance to get to know them better through this process.

The show is up through this Saturday, April 5, so there’s still time to check it out if you missed the festivities.

And a big THANK YOU to my beloved @p_s_won crew for their constant support and space used for uplifting artists. You are the Iowa City gem that continues to uplift and inspire me!

I love the @cr_museum_of_art annual holiday art show so much. It’s so fun to buy art directly from the artists and be able to discuss the pieces and their business. It’s open until 4.

@joyfulfinchstudio will be at MADE showcasing her amazing handwoven fiber art.

More about Joyful Finch Studio here: "Contemporary weaving and fiber art by Leslie Bruch of Joyful Finch Studio brings a modern esthetic to an ancient craft. She creates handwoven wall hangings and small-batch accessories (functional art) infused with a playful sense of color and pattern. The transformation of individual fibers into cloth has an almost magical quality that results from the blend of attention to detail and spontaneity that Leslie utilizes in her weaving process. Inspired by the color and beauty in nature and mindful of the fragility of the environment, she uses second-hand and vintage fibers in her work whenever possible."

A couple fun facts for this post!
- I’m participating in a Morning Makers POP-up this Saturday, 9a-1p, at @alexandra.ackerman’s house with four other local artists! Event page in bio link.
- I grew up with my parents having art and pottery sales in our home so planning this weekend’s homey sale makes me nostalgic and miss them more (they now live in France making pottery, teaching classes, living their best lives).
- Alex and I are preparing for the @artistmotherpodcast retreat the following weekend! I couldn’t be more excited!!! (This sale will help me with travel costs ✨)
- It’s part of my personal mission to have affordable art, art access, and art education for all people. I put great thought into having both original art and takeaways at every price point. This is why I started @sleepypress. - I’m v. excited about these new matted pieces and my new lichen symbol signature chop! .
