Some days, the hardest part is just getting on the mat.

I’ve learned that I don’t always need a harder workout. Sometimes I need to slow down, breathe, stretch, and give my body a chance to feel safe again.

These simple movements are part of how I come back to myself when I’m feeling overstimulated, tense, or just a little disconnected. ❤️‍🩹

It doesn’t have to be perfect.
It doesn’t have to be long.

I haven’t been absent. I’ve been becoming.

For years, I was the woman who kept functioning.

Mothering. Working. Showing up. Looking like I had it together.

And quietly, I was disappearing.

My body knew before I was ready to listen.

I thought I needed to try harder. What I actually needed was to feel safe again. To repair what had been depleted. Restore my health. Rebuild self-trust. Reclaim my voice, my joy, my body… myself.

The glow came later.

First came boundaries. Rest. Strength. Truth. And the decision that I was no longer willing to abandon myself to keep everything else together.

This next chapter isn’t about reliving what happened to me.

That’s why we created The Discovery Spot, a fully sponsored camp experience for one child each session whose family may not otherwise be able to attend.
