I never shared the full versions of my music videos from the “A Candle On A Busy Street” project on socials—so, Mona Lisa!💌

Whenever I write a song, visuals are the first thing that comes to mind…not production, or socials, but how does the song look in my brain space and feel in my body.

When I started to visualize “Mona Lisa” I knew I wanted to feature other famous works of art and create a world where the characters came to life out of their golden cells and untouchable identities.

Soooo — we’ve got the Mona Lisa (big wow), the Girl with the Pearl Earring (played by emma!), the Desperate Man (easton — my cowriter and frame-punching actor), and a modern-day American Gothic by my favorite’s joy and tim!

I worked with the ever amazing @pennykapa on this video — she shot and we co-directed, planning out scene-by-scene and filming in her basement. It was the best time and I adore her.

As an indie artist, I have learned the magic of turnip green, spray painting frames, and how to ball on a budget.

about last week—celebrating with you all was one of my favorite nights on earth! Seriously.

I had so much fun scheming with friends on set design, listening to beautiful band members make a joyful noise with precision + thought, family all hands on deck, good conversations and reunions, and a sort of bow to wrap this insane and consuming project in.

𝘈 𝘊𝘈𝘕𝘋𝘓𝘌 𝘖𝘕 𝘈 𝘉𝘜𝘚𝘠 𝘚𝘛𝘙𝘌𝘌𝘛 - I’m so glad you found your place in the world and now all can listen via the interwebs🕯️🕯️🕯️♥️

there isn’t enough gratitude.

gearing up for alllllllll the songs of the project to be here THIS week is mind blowing🤭🫠

the amount of meetings and dreaming with @pennykapa trying to figure out how to spend less than $100 on music video decor and running around turnip green like madwomennnn.

the amount of tears I’ve cried and bursts of energetic hope out of nowhere in the face of so much self-doubt, both personally and vocationally. independent artistry is a serious beast on the soul and y’all it’s hard out here without your people.

the amount of friends (and family) that I can’t even number because seriously, y’all. Thank you for everyone who showed up hair & makeup ready 7am for the holy woman shoot cause that’s the only time that worked for everyone😅 Friends who played a little dress up and went with my crazy vision of famous paintings.

Thank you for every single friend or new friend or stranger who randomly found my poster at a coffee shop who has come to my shows. Showing up means everything and is the biggest gift for someone still growing their audience!

the amount of skill from my beautiful producers @lorichaffer + @iamthelatifah and their gracious kindness, and nurturing care for these tender songs.

much to celebrate this year!

1. Tasia had her baby Hanson!!!!!!! miracle! joy! feeling the most grateful for her and Jon and their most precious little life.
2. @pennykapa and I filmed 3 music videos this year🤯🤯🤯 a doozy, but equally the best time ever. love creating with this one and one more to be released in the new year!
3. joined the @your_song_org fam as a songwriting partner and adore adore adore miss @kyshonamusic — a dream to be mentored by you and your friend.
4. Bebo and I bought a home! painted checkered floors! been renovating! hard but rewarding and you should come over some time soon for tea😌
5. michelle and connor got married and it was the most fall of fall days—they have an inspiring love and I’m grateful for them.
6. my camera + generous work at @thistlefarms took me all the way to rwanda and I already want to go back. The most kind people and culture and I’m blown away by the true ministry of reconciliation happening here.
7. went into prison system for the first time, learned, was poured into by the other beautiful writers on the trip, and wrote songs with the funniest and most genuine guys. when are we all hanging out next??!
8. celebrated one year of marriage with Bebo in the London public hospital because food poisoning (why not??) love him more and more every single day. bestie for the restie foreallll♥️♥️♥️
9. released + celebrated an EP with the most incredible songwriters and friends and we closed with “I GET BY WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS!!!!”

and it’s so true. 2026, I’m a need some more help and to keep my friends close. Blessings to you and yours!

Every single person who has poured in & went out on a limb for me—thank you. Your generosity and kindness is held in my heart and I pray you feel the love.

I put out my 2nd EP this year and starting to release music again has been a RELEASE in itself — grateful these songs are finding homes outside of me or we’re all in this big commune together😅 anywayyyys, I have years of honor to give to each person on here and just so happy we found each other!
