We’re back!

The 2026 @openstsboston kicked off in Jamaica Plain, and as usual us pedicab drivers were all over it!

Thanks as always to the incredible @shanabryantconsulting of @manifestedevents for having us back, and of course to @mayorwu and the @cityofboston for continuing support for this brilliant series.

People Are Talking. I hear every word.

My values of having my community free from discrimination, racism, and the criminal justice system may not align with your values.

I don’t want a judge telling you to give your child money for food and clothes-this is common sense.

I don’t want a judge telling you to pay the rent-this is common sense.

I don’t need a judge issuing life sentences because you used a gun to express your feelings, use your words-this is common sense.

If you don’t like common sense and you want to stay stuck in stupid then every action will have a consequence.

As a mother, I stand with the other mothers. We choose life. We want our children to live. We want the joy of seeing them realize their dreams. We want to see them graduate, get married, and live an amazing life better than the life we have lived.

You hurt a child in this community, yes, I want to advocate for them. I want them to know their life matters.

Stop teaching them stupidity like it’s ok to steal. No, it is not ok to take what is not yours!

Yes, we need to make sure you have everything need but you have to work hard for the things you want.

I love rooting for the hard working Black man like @domingos_darosa who shows up for the kids and cleans the park to keep them safe - he was cleaning @cityofboston @bostonparksdept before the @fifaworldcup @fifa @fwc26boston @tartan__army.

I feel sad when I hear the community is seeking to silence our mission, to get our kids out of the criminal justice system, by making sure they never in their lifetime experience it.

They can return home from college, now that is an idea.

@blusigmaspr87 can tell my supporters to take off a shirt that says Linda Champion; the shirt doesn’t matter because anyone wearing my shirt is telling all of you, WE ARE SICK of our community being in a perpetual state of chaos and confusion with half-ass leaders who line their own pockets while others go hungry.

“Miscommunication leads to complication. My emancipation don’t fit your equation. I was on the humble, you on every station.” -Lauryn Hill

Time for common sense people.

Countdown to 12/25/25
Holiday Lights
Centre/South Street
Jamaica Plain, MA

Jamaica Plain is one of my favorite neighborhoods to stroll during the Holiday Season to take in all the lights and decorations

I walked Centre/South Street recently @jp_centresouth with hot cocoa in hand from @jplicks to view the Jamaica Plain Holiday Light Show & Illumination. My first stop was the First Baptist Church @firstbaptistjp to see a very special projection.

As I strolled, I noticed most of the businesses are creatively decorated for the festive season along Centre Street and South Street. The South Street Mall was my last stop for more Holiday lights. Add Centre/South Street in Jamaica Plain to your bucketlist of places to visit for Free Holiday Lights and last minute local shopping 🎄

It’s darker early and most of the colorful leaves are on the ground now but there is still a lot of light attaching itself to #boston on days like today if you can get outside for a little while, I’m still trying to get my 10,000 steps a day at least until it’s freezing or below

That was nimble.

The last Boston Open Streets of 2025 was just as inspiring as the first one a few years ago. That inaugural day was in Jamaica Plain way back when, and so it was cool to close the season in that beloved neighborhood once again!

And of course, all us pedicab drivers were running the course and adding to the vibes. Jamaica Plain Open Streets is the longest of all of them, so while we’re in it for the fun, we were definitely needed for the transportation too.

Endless thanks to the tireless brilliance of the staff of @shanabryantconsulting , including Ms. Bryant herself, for always keeping the trikes rolling to ensure these days stay brilliant.

We’re excited to have the @cityofboston continually support our community of small businesses (every driver is, after all, a tiny, individual Boston entrepreneur), and grateful that @mayorwu’s office continually secures our role among Boston’s key “street level ambassadors.”

So while the pedicabs will roll all year (yes, we come out here and there in the winter!), we put this year’s Open Streets program to bed. See you on the courses next summer!

📰 Honored to be featured in my hometown paper, the Jamaica Plain Gazette!

It feels great to come full circle — from growing up in Jamaica Plain to returning as the keynote speaker for the 19th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. School Breakfast in Everett. ✊🏽

Thank you to Zion Church Ministries, Mayor Carlo DeMaria, Bishop Robert G. Brown, and everyone who helped make this event so meaningful. And special thanks to the JP Gazette for covering it.
